The progress indicator, on the top left, should also include the Disarming progress bar (like it happens with the indicator above the objective)
Sometimes I’m not facing the objective but would like to know how it is going.
Request: add disarming progress bar to top left icon
Just thought I’d let you know this is a deliberate design decision to prevent defenders having too much advantage when they are, as you say, not even facing the objective.
Truth be told they even wanted to remove the progress bar from the IFF to force defenders to actually have line of sight, but we begged them not to.
So whilst I would also like to see the progress in the HUD, as it has been in every other objective game I’ve ever played, I think it’s quite unlikely to change, at least anytime soon.
I don’t agree, you should be defending your objective without an overseer aiding you. If you plant the objective you should be sticking by it to be sure it does what it should.
I’d like to have the “progress” bar removed entirely. This includes disarming progress. I find it silly for such valuable information to be made so easily accessible. I can, with a simple look at it, judge whether or not my opponent will try to suicide rush for it rather than play for control, I don’t even have to guess. Being able to watch the clock and determining when it’s “going to blow” based on that or “how much time they’ve got left to defuse” is and should be part of general gameawareness, not accessible on a single glance.
But hey, that’s just me. I dislike seeing my opponent’s loadouts, names, hp bars, death ghosts, etc. just as much. Too much information is given out for free.
maybe that’s something that can be turned off in DBpro right? nah never mind that’s never going to happen. so the game will be stuck between mostly towards the casual side. seems we can’t even get different spawn times in stopwatch despite objective having different timing

listen to tha man!
DBpro will probably never happen, but if the progress bar would be a server side cvar, i guess a comp play server config could do the trick.
