Reporting griefing and throwing on FACEIT

(Teflon Love) #1

So the other I played a FACEIT match with a classic Phantiot (ignores polite requests from multiple players to pick something else or at least switch later, bottom scores with less than 50% of 4th player, calls others noobs, yada yada. You met people like him before).

As an experiment I decided to report him.

The FACEIT docs on reporting explain that you should use thumbs up/down after the match. Which this seems to be available for CS:GO and maybe others, DB does not support this system yet.

Lacking any other options, I used the email request form, providing links to the match and player profile.

After a couple of days I got the following reply:

Thanks for contacting FACEIT!

Unfortunately as this is an issue within the hub, this would need to be resolved by one of the hub admins.

We do not hold any authority of the internal issues of the hubs on our platform, and the rulings are made within the hub directly.

I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to help out any further, but I hope your issue will be resolved shortly :+1:‍

That’s ok with me but it would be nice to know if this information would actually be stated somewhere.

Also I didn’t contact the FACEIT hub admins yet because I’m unsure what information they exactly need. Should I just PM e.g. FABE with the match and player link and some short description what he did?

Probably you could start to be politically correct first. Not everyone is able to speak, and more important, read some language.
Probably, with some server-max-ping of 1.5e9999999 they weren’t able to answer you in time, too.
And obviously not-so-useful players can’t help beeing matched with totally-useful players.
But as I see you are a regular DB-player, you, nowadays, should be used to play this game without balancing, so plx, stfu and let them kids p(l)ay for skins ftw.
.
Sorry, I forgot, what was your problem in this “fast-paced-competetive-shooter” again?

I’m not talking about a player giving his best and ending up not contributing much. This is the old discussion of match making and general balance. I regularly end up in this spot myself when matched with much better players than me.

I’m talking about ignoring team composition, advice from others, and being insulting to almost everyone in the team. Not gonna post chat logs and screenshot here. English comprehension definitely was not the issue as we could hear on voice chat. it’s pretty clear case from my point of view.

The real question for me is whether we should ignore this kind of behavior and move on to the next match (as I usually do) or report it with the intention of FACEIT becoming a better place than pubs for playing semi-seriously.

I AM REALLY SORRY I FORGOT THEM MARKINGS FOR SARCASM IN MY LAST POST.

@teflonlove … get some sleep…

And answering imo to your question…
No you shouldn’t ignore it, but will it change something if you report it? I doubt it.
Devs nowadays recognized three-year-olds, spending their parent’s money, as a more valuable portion of their customers… and on top of that retards also pay money to be kewl.

made my day

Yeah, should be visible better indeed and sometimes that thumbs down is when they lose and get mad and blame it on someone who is on the last place of the scoreboard after a game, even if that player played well and all, but what can you do if there are good opponents which have a nice defense, not much since you aren’t a magician, there are some cruel players there noticed it (new players hesitates for sure to join ranked cause of that) and if you talk back they report you as you are there one starting it all.

Good that you brought it up!

Team composition could solve this:

  1. Make list of griefers
  2. Put them on same team
  3. Griefers gain or lose karma
  4. Profit

I’d probably get a lot of thumbs down because of scoring higher than sub 60ms ping players in EU.

Hey all!

If you come across any bad eggs please open a ticket with me contain the following information:

  1. Players FACEIT name
  2. Players Steam ID
  3. Evidence of their behaviour (video or a screenshot)
  4. Description of said players behaviour

Once I have this information I’ll be able to investigate into each case and take appropriate action. No one likes bad eggs.

This doesn’t work for a browser based system. This might work only on a client application, and I’m not willing to download it.

(K1X455) #11

Isn’t the in-game reporting system enough?

(Teflon Love) #12

The in-game system is nice for quick, obvious reports. But the dialog is available only during the match and you cannot attach further evidence like videos or screenshots.

(Doughball) #13

If you’d rather use the in-game reporting system then please do so – we review in-game reports also, but if you want to make sure that I’ll have eyes on your report a CS ticket is the best way :).

(Doughball) #14

You’re absolutely correct – through a CS ticket you’re able to attach all the needed information (makes my job a lot easier, to which I’m thankful :heartian: )
