Report NGS/Security Violation issues here.

Hello,

We have noticed an influx of NGS issues and random disconnects being reported - Do not be alarmed, we are looking into this and will hopefully have an update/fix for everyone.

Some players have been reporting an occasional kick and others have been reporting several kicks throughout the day. If this is happening to you do not worry, you won’t be banned from the game for this (unless you are actually cheating).

I (or someone) will update this thread as soon as we have more information.

Oh finally, i’ve been kicked so many times since the last update, i can’t play more than 5 minutes without getting kicked it’s so frustrating. I can’t wait for a fix. Cheers

The occasional security violation may happen, this happens to everyone from time to time. NSG is a separate program that sometimes crashes in the background, forcing Dirty Bomb to kick you out.

If it happens on a more regular basis however, these are some steps to try to solve this issue yourself:

  1. NGS does not like:
    [list][*]Anything that messes with your network. Shut down anything that shapes your bandwidth usage.
  2. Anything that controls your computer indirectly, such as YouTube playlists, Spotify remote control, etc.
  3. Virtualised environments. Don’t run an operating system within an operating system (Sandboxy, VM)
  4. Macro programs (these are actually dangerous and may result in a permanent ban) (AutoHotkey, button switchers)
  5. Programs that try to present themselves while ingame. TeamSpeak’s Overwolf overlay, for example, can give issues.

    If you have any of these running, try running the game without it.[/list]
  6. Also, most large and popular programs won’t do anything to trigger a kick, so the issue is usually not in manufacturer software. Try disabling smaller programs one by one to see if that helps.
  7. Verify the integrity of the game cache by right-clicking Dirty Bomb in Steam, clicking ‘Properties’, and clicking ‘Verify integrity of Game Cache’ under ‘Local Files’ to make sure the game files have not been corrupted.

    And finally
  8. Some antivirus/firewall software may interfere with NGS’ functions. Try disabling them temporarily to see if that helps.

Edit : i tried turning off the firewall and useless programms runing in my background but it didn’t work for me, im still getting kicked from every server for security violation after a few minutes

@hot I am sorry you are being kicked so often :frowning: While we are working on this I would suggest contacting customer support with a DxDiag.

This just seems to happen every update. Me and my friends have noticed every time there is an update we seem to go through a couple of weeks where we get kicked way more consistently that normal. I’ve been getting about 3 or 4 a day at the moment.

This is just ridiculous, yesterday I Got kick for 6 times, and 3 of them happened when I play ranked match with my friend. After the game started for a while, I was kicked for security violation 1 time per one game. However, after I rejoined the match, It will be fine for the rest of that game. My enemy team decided to pause for me, and I’m glad I had those enemies who know the pain of that. Recently, this happens a lot, yet I have the same background running program as what? Months ago

Weird. The last time I got the security violation error was months ago.
The update didn’t change anything for me and I’m running the same programs as before.

@NxA_Noxie Hey, so I was thinking, unless you guys have something you know you can push out in a day or two, is there any chance you guys could perhaps revert NGS back to its previous version until you actually have an idea on how to fix the problem?

I get games have bugs and all that, and I don’t have anything against waiting a couple days for a fix but… It’s been a long time since I’ve even been able to finish a full match because of this. And again, normally I still wouldn’t care, but I and a lot of other people have missed a lot of the event because of this…
I just don’t want to miss any more of the event. It’s not like we’ll get the opportunity again.

“We are currently aware of these kicks and are looking into resolving them as soon as possible.”
Better than nothing mind you, but it doesn’t sound like we’ll be able to play tomorrow xD

Oh huh, I was able to play again for about five matches before I had to leave. Probably just another temporary fix like I had a few days ago, but I’ll reboot it in a bit to see if it’s fixed.

EDIT: Yep, back to being kicked. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Huh, the problem seems to have completely fixed itself for me. It’s been three days now without a kick, so we’ll see where that goes.

Haven’t done anything different either. Weird, but as long as I can play now :stuck_out_tongue:

Meh, if it makes it any better you’re not missing out on much. Proxy, Vassili, Stoker, and Fletcher in one free rotation. It can get rather annoying xD
