Saying they have reproduced this in NOWAY confirms they are working on it, im not saying they are not working on it but people would like to know Exactly whats going on and SD have said nothing more to this issue regardless of people posting about it daily.

If SD would come out directly and respond that this is a problem and they are indeed working on a fix with themselves and maybe Nvidia to rectify it would give people peace of mind.

Other than that myself and others will presume that they are ignoring customers/community issues, that will leave a sour taste in peoples mouths, as to why we should pay for a game and not be able to play it.

Game companies get away with this constantly APB being the worst ive seen. They released APB when the BETA community myself included said in know way it was finished. They were forced to release it early to try and recoup the money spent on it and the game and company went bust 2 months into release.

If you buy a product it should work 100% If not either sort it before release of patch it within a resonable time.

I have not played this game alot due to stressing my system with full lockups. Not being able to play my game i paid good money for after 5 days isnt a good incentive to purchase from them ever again.

Hi peeps update ive tried the 64bit win 7 driver for 275.27 beta.

Im not getting the opengl error now but instead this driver caused my full system to lockup and the sound looped constantly.

Had to force reboot with reset key.

Will wait and see if any others have more success if not im at the end of my patience and will be asking steam for a refund under consumers rights to buying a product not fit for purpose.

I.e not working.

That’s the same opengl error and it does the same thing to my system. Check your Event Viewer logs and I’ll be willing to bet it’s the same error.

Same Problem here :-s . I’m able to play for 10 minutes ish and then the whole thing crashes. If Im running Dual monitors it even freezes totally so i have to reset it. Heres the dxdiag:

Me and my friend both have basically identical computers, i7 2600 gtx 570 windows 7 x64 etc. He wasn’t getting the problem and I was. The only difference was he was running old Nvidia Drivers (263.09). So I switched to those from the latest and haven’t had the problem for the last few hours. Could someone else try the 263.09 drivers and see if the problem is fixed.

In general, no. Drivers are updated to support new features, fix bugs (they have bugs just like everything else), and tweak performance for certain situations.

Having the latest drivers installed is almost always the best place to start, because you’ll have the most bug-fixed version. However, they won’t necessarily produce the best performance and may even have problems in some older software that were actually created during those updates.

Hello,

same problem to me tried out several nvidia drivers and at all the game crashes round about every 10-15 minutes … frustrating.

I’am so disappointed about the game , just betatesting… by users :confused:

On a hunch, if you have software that can monitor and graph your video card’s temperature, see how hot the card is getting when this crash occurs. Maybe also see if it gets that hot in other games. I’m starting to wonder if this isn’t a heat issue. Specifically that Brink is somehow taxing the video card more than maybe it should be.

No, Moonlighter. My GTX 460 is not over 60°C when i play Brink.
It’s a main problem for much users!

I notice some people have reported workarounds by lowering the in-game resolution.

Can anyone confirm if this reduces the number of ‘Nvidia OpenGL driver has lost connection with the display driver’ crashes they are experiencing?

Nothing changed with this driver… just crashing and i just wasted time for nothing …just betatesting the game for Splashdamge… -.-

This message comes just if you have one of the latest drivers, otherwise the game will crash without any message.

In my case there is no change if i lower the resulotion.

No, it doesn’t do anything except force you to look at huge pixels that are ugly, lol.
Whenever you change a setting in-game, it prolongs the crash, in a way. I will turn off motion blur, and won’t crash for a few matches. After that, I crash constantly. Then, I turn it back on and lower my resolution. Same thing happens: go a few matches without crashing, and then when I crash, I can’t play for more than 10 minutes.

If you’re political, it’s kind of like how the New Deal didn’t get rid of the Great Depression, it just prolonged it. :wink:

All Drivers are up to date!

On my Asus G73SW Notebook i’ve no Problems…

Tried running in windowed mode. Seems to be working for me. Next time gonna try full screen at lower res. Had 2 evening sessions playing for a number of hours without crashing out. Even left machine on overnight and still playable next mornin.
