Is it possible to Reload cancel with Double Time?
/
If yes how?
Reload Canceling
Yes, you press shift once you have begun the reload. If you press shift, THEN reload, it will not cancel. However, pressing reload then shift, will in fact cancel the reload.

You cancel like you would any other time. If you start a reload and realize you don’t want to reload right then and there then switch to another weapon and then back quickly. You can fire almost instantly. I do this all the time with and without Double Time.
Unless I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do.

Pretty sure he means how to cancel reloading with the double time augment when you need to GTFO immediately and don’t want to be slowed down. Which switching weapons would do, or just going knife.

You aren’t slowed down with double time, that is the purpose of the augment…
I am pretty sure he means canceling reload in the moment when mag is in weapon, so you can start firing with full mag before the reload animation is finished…
Switching weapons is basically the easiest thing. Scroll wheel up and down is really all it takes.
I would rather try iron sighting for moment (just clicking RMB)… Maybe it is faster, but yeah, shift may not work on double time as reload canceler
I don’t know if I’m tripping or not but I think simply crouching somehow cancels reloads…
Nope, this is a bug I filed a long time ago and have more recently filed again with a fully commentated video showing exactly how to reproduce it.
If you have run toggle set to on, have reloads cancel on sprint, you have sprinted recently and you start to reload, a crouch will cancel it. However, if you turn off your sprint, move for just a second then try to reload and spam crouch it will reload just fine. It’s like the game caches something that says, “I am in sprint mode” and then accesses that when you crouch for some reason which then triggers a reload cancel if you have sprint set to cancel reloads. So only people with sprint toggle on and sprint canceling reload will see this bug…and even then a lot of people might not even notice it since it happens based on how you play.
I rarely crouch in firefights while reloading simply because it can royally screw me. This is also how I found out that ShooterInput.ini in the user directory isn’t being used like it should be which is another bug. I wanted to see if there was an alias I could force that would remove this issue and ShooterInput.ini ignores it. I have found a work around recently but I haven’t actually cared to implement it yet.
But to the OP all I do is switch to my knife and back to my primary to cancel a reload. I do that all the time anyway since it shaves a few milliseconds off of a reload similar to how you do it in counter-strike and I’m just used to it ala CS.
