I’ve finally finished my first ET map after 3 long weeks of on and off mapping. :smiley:

But, school started today so I won’t be doing too much more mapping for awhile. :blah: Good thing I got this map done now.

I started this project before D-Day, Atlantic Wall, and every other Normandy map for ET was released and I didn’t want to stop all my hard work. BTW, you obviously don’t know how to read:

Upon loading this map, I thought, awwwwww, how quaint! A poor man’s mp_beach. But then I just got pissed off after running around with the docs for 5 minutes trying to find where I was supposed to transmit them from!!!

Any clues?! :bored:

Well, for some reason I couldn’t get the transmitter to display on the command map, will try to fix for next version.

The transmitter is in the main base on the ground level floor where the Axis spawn. (The floor under the ladder).

I did mark a big black block on the command map to mark the transmitter lol

To me, it felt like the relative sizing of dimensions in many places felt off

Stairs felt too steep, the hallways by the docs were too short - I kept hitting my head when strafe jumping.

Also, it seems like a really short run from the docs to the transmitter, way too short

You might also want to lenghten the beach. As is, you spawn nearly on top of/right in front of the guns in the forward bunker - and the firing slits are too tall.

Jeah, allies destroy wall and door before axis could even shoot them.
Also, some areas are pitch black in the basement. Why?

behind those crates, and up them. Use ambient in worldspawn to make them look more “natural”
