the map is now easier for the allies, maybe too easy? in 3 out of 4 games i played today allies won…
we’ll see, that’s what a beta is for.

You might ask why it took so long for the beta2…
the answer is, that i had to drive away due to my civil service for 2 weeks and before that i also had less time because of the civil service.

)If it wasn’t the first round that axis has won, then it is OK.
And even so, it’s nice to have a map where allies seem to have slightly better chance to win, couse every map out of original 6 ( with obvious exception of radar) I’ve played recently, was a total disaster for allies.
Map os curently beeing downloaded, so I can’t give any feedback about the new version and besides, I haven’t even played it online, so I wouldn’t have anything realistic to say…

If anyoune has an IP of a server (preferably in central europe), where this map is in rotation, please let me know, couse I’d love to play it (it looks very nice :smiley: ).

I love that little triggered ladder great new way for a single allied eng to get in. I was doing it in 1v1 but need more people to see how stealthy it is to go that way

I like the map alot, in fact, I like it so much that I spectatored around the map and took screenshots of everything I found wrong, mostly misaligned textures, and a few floating/strange looking bits of level

I uploaded all the screenshots to my website at http://et.everyonelookbusy.net/tm-beta2/

The reason I took screenshots from all the roadsigns is cause I think the pole holding up the signs should be in the middle of the sign

The reason I took a picture of one of the outside stairs in the castle is cause I think there is a railing missing there, or something similar…

the rest of the screenies are pretty self explanationary I think, some lightleaking and for the rest some textures you forgot to rotate…

hmm alot of those screenshots seemed quite random lol especially the ones of the radio tower, only one of them had light leaking the rest where just screenshots of the pole going across?

I played this map a little bit yesterday, and I just wanted to commend the map’s creator on designing the map in a way that even people using old-ass video cards (like my 64MB GeForce2 MX 400) could still get decent FPS. I don’t think I dropped below 30 FPS, although 45 was far more common. Danke. :slight_smile:

Few things I noticed on a runabout explore, not already mentioned (maybe by joop sloop :eek: ). Dunno if intentional or not:

Allies can make the jump to hit the switch in the sewer, demo - easily if boosted, easy enough if not.

Texure missing under stairs at mofified radar part - above its there, below its not, and you can see through.

Allies might be able to get onto this ladder if they bunk up.

Few graves look borked, btw near here you can jump onto the outside wall, though you cant fall into the viod.

I took those shots rather liberaly, and in most of them I saw a texture where the grain of the wood wasn’t right…

hi guys!
luckily i have internet acces her, so i can have a look at this thread every one and then.
yes, that one ladder is an additional path into the castle and requires teamwork.
the switch being reachable by only 2 players jumping on one another is a bug and will be fixed.
thanks for documenting all those tiny errors, your help is really appreciated.
and also thanks for stating the map is running fine on a low-end gfx. we spent quite alot of time fixing the fps issue and i’m glad we had success!

is it that switch at start ?

I shouldn’t fix that :p. It’s a good second route…

Allies at start only have one bottleneck (that bridge) and that’s far too difficult to get through (i think). On big servers that is easily sealed off with ffe’s, mines etc.

agree
a single allie should not be able to use the switch, but 2 should…
so even if the rest of ure team is crap u can rush the forrest area with little support an avoid the slaughtering at the bridge

nooo its good one a single allie to get in cos you can totally surprise the enemy and most of the time on publics no one listens to you if you try and tell them to give you a bunk up its easy enough to jump off the ledge and hit it anyway

its still to hard for allies… :smiley:

the castle is to easy to defend - the only chance for the allies seem to lie in a confused and unorganized axisteam.
but nevertheless is this map great and a lot of fun to play
