I have it on reliable source that it will be 28/06/06. I know this because when I blow out the candles on my birthday cake I’ll wish for ET:QW to be delivered to me that day. And as wishes always come true, QW will have to be released by then. :banana:

I sent the following to EB Games:

"1) When I preorder and item and it says its ETA is for example 6/1/06 does that mean I will receive it 6/1/06, or will it ship 6/1/06

  1. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars: Is said to release on 6/1/06. Is this an estimation or an actual release date."

They Replied:

To answer you first question that ETA date would be the date the order will be shipped. Second the title listed below has the date of 6-1-06 which is a ETA date of when we should get our shipment from the manufacture. This date comes from the manufacture and if it were to change sooner or later then they would let us know to change our website. Thanks and have a nice day.

So they are not (according to this person) making up dates.

If that where true, the release date wouldn’t have been unknown. Do you think they would have only given the release date to EB Games? If there where a fixed release date, SD would have gone out with a press release with the date and it would have been spread to all the gaming news sites and forums faster than you could say “I want it now”.

i don’t think that june will be the release date. reason: there’s still no public beta test. i don’t think that id will put an mp only game out before they did a public beta test.

on the other hand: they had that much self confidence with D3 and Q4. and what happened? both games are dead. they were dead practically within a few months. i don’t think they will make that mistake a third time.
