I wonder what is exactly the definition by which the region locks are in place? I mean, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are all european union countries. They all have euro currency. They are most definitelly not in the CIS region. So what is it that prevents these countries from playing this game together with the rest of europe?
Region definition?
Yes, I want to know as well why Baltic states ar excluded, so “bump!”
Just for the insight for everyone - search wiki “baltic states” - all north EU, and not a part of CIS region.
yes, but most of the infrastructure including communication was, could be a routing problem
I personally work in the hosting industry. I understand the networking part of things and possible implications, but while the region locks where disabled on steam launch, i was getting stable 50ms ping to all EU servers. Baltic states have above average (compared to EU) network speeds according to netindex and for example other steam games are working properly. So i don’t thing routing is the issue. More likely, from what i observed before, baltic states are considered to be in CIS, which is completely untrue.
That’s because Nexon likes money, so they sell the publishing rights to other companies.
They can’t change it now.
