By throwing distance I mean how far she can set the mines, cause I feel like the majority of what happens is people can throw them down and get free kills. Nerfing the throwing distance would fix that since she’d have to very close to people to drop them down.
Regarding Proxy, would nerfing her throwing distance work
As much as I hate proxy, i think that nerfing her like this is too much.
Why nerf her? Her ability is already garbage as it is.
Instead she could gain throwing distance on it to be more viable offensively. I mean you’re not going to rush forward if a frisbee mine is flying out from around a corner or something. You’re going to back the hell up if you don’t want to end up in bits.
Proxy has never even been in the competitive meta cuz she’s trash tier, why would she need a nerf at that level?
The one and only case where Proxy mines are strong is when they are on top of certain stairways and the only way to avoid the damage is to use an ability to detonate them. That’s literally it. (Also according to the somewhat recently released alpha footage, every merc carried a nade, so even that situation could have easily been avoided)
If you die to a planted defensive mine, it’s your own fault for being careless. If you die to an offensive mine being manually detonated by gun in your face, also your own fault for poor decisionmaking/positioning.
It’s annoying but proxy needs it. She is already subpar and if we nerf her halal attack she needs some buffs in other places.
