Regarding GTKradiant

Now I’m not using the program to build wolfenstein maps…Or even quake 3 maps…I just wasn’t sure where else to ask. If this is inappropriate I apologize in advance.

I’ve built several maps, I don’t think it’s a problem with the game mod or the program, but I get this error when compiling:

=== running build command ===
“gzmap.exe” -basez “C:/gunzmap/data” -connect 127.0.0.1:39000 -zip -mrs -nolight “C:/gunzmap/data/maps/Launchgunz.map”
Connected.
Connection closed.

Does anyone know why it would do that? I turned off the stop compile if leak option, but it still does it (I doubt it’s a leak, I can even compile a gunz map with leaks)

Hi, I use q3map2 to compile… never seen gzmap.exe as a compiler.

q3map2 download: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=178499&postcount=30

q3map2 toolz (very useful frontend): http://www.fileplanet.com/hosteddl.aspx?/planetquake/hro/q3map2toolz_setup.exe

Try changing to these tools…

Aha, thank you.

Ah, I can’t use those because GTK has the gunz mod (Gunz online, the game I’m making the maps for) which compiles the map suitable for gunz compatibility =/

I think it has something to do with loading q3 original textures, because I can see them in GTKradiant fine, but when I compile, it closes connection as I posted above. But if I select every brush on my map and use a base texture I have for gunz, it compiles just fine.

I’m not sure if it’s pathing to the textures, as I don’t have q3 installed, but it’s starting to get really old :frowning:
