Redeye's Scoring

(JJMAJR) #1

Good news everyone!
I figured out how to play Redeye well.

Anyways, the way that Redeye works is that he’s supposed to smoke an area so that enemies would be forced to engage in an area where players could easily crossfire on them.

The problem is that any spotting ability completely negates that effect, but that’s not the main part of this.

Redeye should score additional “concealment assist” points whenever an enemy that recently went through his smoke was killed by an ally. The enemy that was killed should be destroyed between the point where the smoke is and the ally that killed them. If they are behind the smoke and wasn’t able to be seen normally, Redeye scores no points.

Said “concealment assist” points should also be available to Thunder when he flashbangs someone. He shouldn’t get any points if he ends up blinding the ally that killed the one he assisted, even in an FF-free server where friendly flashbangs don’t cause a lot of problems.

Redeye should also gain XP if the bomb is planted or an objective is returned/delivered inside of his smoke, and other related things, Idk if he already does

I mean I’ll take additional points, he’s actually the easiest Recon to score with imo as is.

Any tips for Redeye? What loadout to use? I’m planning to get him because he is 30% off now.

I use any loadout with the Kukri, not because that melee weapon is effective, but because it’s hilarious to use.

I’d suggest mostly using either the Dreiss or GSR loadouts to better suit his role as a marksman (he’s in the action unlike most Vassilis). He has 120 hp for a reason.

Spot as often as possible, don’t use the smoke grenade without a good reason, it can easily hinder your team as well if you aren’t careful.

If you want to piss people off, use the pdp. Smoke off shooting lanes and spam away.

Smokescreen guide:
Take a big, fat look at the maps.
Try to find a way to make a group of enemies unable to move into an area and shoot things clearly while avoiding the same happening to your allies.

Enjoy.
