Redeye and his m14 needs a Buff ?

Well, i would lie if i say i am satisfied with it. It is not reliable at all.

But anyways, i would like to catch ur opinions.

A char for competetive with his

  • thin short time smokes
  • short time thermal
  • M14 with recoil and horrible spread
  • bad ironsight

or is everything fine and i am just not able to utilize him in the right way, in which he was meanted to be ?

Redeye is currently imho the worst merc in DB (with Phantom close second) and he desperately need buffs.

Post Stoker I think Redeye will suddenly be much more common. Let’s give it a wait and see as far as Redeye goes. More people will use him and I think that will bring in more opinions.

He needs perks that actually buff his abilities in my opinion.

Nah at least Redeye can help his team a bit. Phantom does nothing to help, he just kills, and isn’t even astonishingly good at that.

Buff that grandeur and we can talk about that - just to put out fire cant be the sens of that merc. With his low rate of fire he need a controlable pattern, cause peng … peng… wont make the deal against above average player. I want to use it and not just sparks for Headhunting.

The merc has just average Health, is slow, short duration specials and his major attraction . the weapon has a uncontrolable spray pattern and a nice but most of the time (movement speed and to thin smokes) useless knife. On distance he has to counter vasili and sparks (no scope, no speed) on short distance - he is pretty helpless against smg and on midrange difficulties to counter a m4 player.

I play this merc and on some maps i finsih with a double digit to zero kd, but its a pain and i always know with sparks or proxy i would be more helpfull and destructive.

@Ardez I think having the smoke neutralize fire would be cool

The Grandeur is fine after the patch.

I see only problem for him is his ability duration, I wish he had longer duration for Smoke and IR Goggle.

Smoke just needs like 5 seconds more, but this IR goggle derserves more than 5, because 10 seconds are pretty short.

The IR goggles aren’t meant to be toggle and forget. I’m not sure how I feel about his smoke. The grandeur really could use a better sight.

Depends if Phantom is just going for nothing but kills or is actually going for critical kills. You know how helpful it is when the Phantom removes a (competent) sniper or medic?

It is still crap, with sparks i headshot like haveing a trigger from time to time. Any other char i can play successful or supportive. Just because there is 1 wonderchild out there, it doesnt mean its fine. The only way to use him is with enough distracion through premade teams.

Reduce the body damage but buff the spread and fireate.

I think the Grandeur should just get a better scope - even if it doesn’t offer any extra magnification. It’s a gun that has very unreliable hipfire accuracy so you’re always using ADS, so it’s dumb that you have to deal with iron sights that actually make it harder to be accurate (due to their obscuring shape).

It’s actually a very capable gun right now in terms of DPS (at 150 compared to the PDP-70’s 135 and the Dreiss’ 125). The only issue to me seems to be that it can’t be reliable with hipfire OR while ADSing.

Put a red dot sight on it please (extra magnification is not needed, however).

as i discovered the sight is glitched a bit to the right. Center is not really center. Its abaout 1-2 inch to the left. Thats not much, but the reason for a lot of fails for me.

After the third shot the weapon starts to sprad uncontrollable (regardless of ironsight or hipfire). The weapon is strong but not super strong cause of his rate of fire. It makes absolutely no sense for me, that everyone calls it a sniper rifle. Its a miy between sniper and aussault rifle but is threaded like a 70 % sniper and 30 % aussault, thats something which is utterly wrong. It makes u so god damn stationary.

Besides Godlike Froszt, i met noone in the game, who actully could handle neither used that char probebly. For myself - sometime i rek with it, sometimes i suck with it.

I absolutely demands a lay back style - often times it makes u useless for the battlefield. I mean the duration of his specials would be fine, if the weapon would be a bit more controllable.

Same for the knife, sometimes i hit with it, sometime i magically just cut the air and dunno why. This game is fast pased, it makes it utterly useless if u are not a living aimbot.

Yep, something big and clean looking so there’s lots of room under the dot. With the way it is now as soon as you take a shot at someone’s head at mid to long rang the target’s body disappears behind the rifle as it jumps up.

I keep saying this again and again, but first shot accuracy, is what needs to be buffed. That first shot should be super accurate, enough to hit someone from across the street on chapel, and get a headshot.
