Watched a bit of closed beta Red Eye gameplay and so that Red Eye’s eyes shine through the smoke, but it doesn’t anymore. Why? Not saying that he is OP, but I’m wondering why it was removed from the current Red Eye. There should be some demerits when using his IR Goggles combined with his smoke.

I am pretty sure I saw his red eye shine through smoke latley.
Might only be on friendlies tho? Not entirely sure about this.
Also, when I play redeye, I usually use his IR only very briefly until everything is spotted to keep cooldown for when its needed. So maybe thats the reason not many “red eyes” are to be seen?

His goggles have a really short use timer. Also, what are you doing sitting in front of the smoke while a guy that can see through it is there?
