Do you have more info than just “I want to make a ‘modern’ mod”? Where does it take place, who is fighting who for what (Gulfwar?), etc.?

It will be based on the war in iraq and afghanistan that recently happened.
It will be america versus the middle east.

Just keep it tasteful. Remember, although the Axis are the ‘bad guys’ in RtCW and ET, they’re not made to look like they’re the root of all evil. This mod could be interesting, but only if it’s approached in a mature manner. In other words, don’t make it seem as though the Middle East is comprised of a bunch of blood-thirsty savages. Furthermore, note that they do, what they do for a reason. None of what happened was spontaneous in terms of thought. So, while you’ll probably have some sort of ‘Protect Freedom’ storyline for the Americans, keep the Middle East side of things somewhat tasteful. Their storyline shouldn’t just be ‘Kill Everyone’.

I’m not making any assumptions as to your morals. Just remember: PLENTY of people are gonna download this just to shoot people from the Middle East. It’s imperative that you approach this responsibly.

what are you on about you need two sides? there are two sides otherwise you wouldnt be getting reports of injured amercian’s or reports about how american patrols were getting shot at

Hey, before we get political let me just say a.) read up a bit on US foreign politics of the last 50 years, might give you a few hints about US aggression and propaganda, and b.) compare the military technology and realize it’s nothing more than skeet shooting (and don’t forget how the USA and other industrialized nations just LOVE to sell obsolete weapons to any random freak). Defending democracy and freedom with lies and black mail, that’s ridiculous. Saying one thing and doing the exact opposite. Bush and his thugs are lowlife war criminals and need to be prosecuted as such, and I need to shut the fuck up now because this topic makes me ranty and this isn’t the place for that :confused:

Oh, a little more on topic: Hitler was ranting about peace and democracy all the time, too. Read the speeches. When he invaded Poland, he claimed to do so because Poland left him no other choice. It was pure defense blah blah. This sums up my feelings about all of this pretty well.

They will be trying to protect there religious rights and defend their country
