Recruiting Mappers

We are currently looking for mappers who want to join a clan. We have some great ideas for maps, but we need more mappers! If you are interested please go to www.lonewolfclan.com and fill out the clan application (after registration with site). On the application, put you were referred by me (beeshbum). We need more mappers in order to complete these ideas. All mappers will be given high admin status on our servers.

TO THE MODERATOR- I am sorry if this is not acceptable, but there is a topic towards the bottom of the page requesting mappers. Please remove ASAP if this is not appreciated on these forums.

Just a thought, but why should I apply if you do not even give an outline of your ideas?

well we dont want to give any outlines because we dont want anyone to rip off our ideas. if anyone is interested you can email me at beeshbum@lonewolfclan.com and i will try to explain more, but we dont publicly want to post our ideas. the only things that we will say is that one map idea is a destructible map (pretty much the opposite of baserace). instead of building up your base and such, you need to destroy everything such as buildings/ walls/ shacks/ etc.

which is why i said we need more mappers…we have some already and are looking for more. i am not asking one person to do this for us…i am asking people to join us.

We have had quite some requests like yours in the past, and the first thing is: no mapper is going to steal your ideas because everybody is mapping on his own ideas.

Second thing (and I LOVE the quote from ReyalP): mapping is a damn lot of hard work. Looking back at Warbell which I released 2 weeks ago I can say: 1% idea and 99% hard mapping work fits the description perfectly.
You will never get any committment to a task like you roughly outline from any decent mapper if you don’t give a real good idea of what you guys are thinking about.
If you present your idea well here, you might be able to get someone interested. If you don’t present anything, why should anybody be interested at all?

If there really should be someone interested in stealing your idea, he would steal 1% and would still have to do the hard part - 99% (that’s what I wanted to say with the quote) :slight_smile:
