Recording In-Game Footage.

Hey, everybody.

What software are people using to record themselves playing? I could take my live broadcasts from OBS but for when I am not streaming is their a way I can just record my gameplay so that I can make frag edits?

I came from CSGO where we could just type “record demonamehere”, does DirtyBomb have the same principle?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I use Shadowplay, but you need to bring the footage into an editing program if you want to make a montage.

I’m not keen on Shadowplay, but the other two you mention I have not heard of before so I will give them a look, thank you.

Dxtory - Really amazing quality but it makes really big files like 50 gb for 10 min videos

Shadowplay - What I use currently, it is actually pretty good even if a little lacking in settings

MSI AfterBurner - Great recorder what I use to use when I just started recording it is also a overclocking software too

OBS - I use it in the past and to be honest it not as great as any of the three mentioned above

Fraps - Meh to be honest

Hope that helps.

Dxtory with x264 codec is amazing and if you configure x264 well you can get great quality, low file sizes and minimal impact.
