Really? No ability to add friends from inside a match?

I feel like this forum is full of complaints, and I’ve added a few myself, and I’m about to add another one, but I do want to say that I am enjoying the game and do not regret the purchase, though I do feel some lacking features are almost inexcusable.

To the topic:
This is all based on PC experience.

This game emphasizes teamwork. A lot of it. Yet, there’s no easy way to make premade teams. There’s no easy way to add friends short of memorizing their name and adding them on steam. Even then, it’s not easy to get a match going together. I simply don’t understand. Showing the scoreboard post-game, why not add some options? Like, “add to friends”? “invite to group” etc? Things that other shooters have had for years. I simply don’t understand this lack of connectivity inside a game so exclusively focused on multiplayer.

Also, why not add the scoreboard and XP to the same tab? Or at least chat to the post-game? Sure, it’s there, but it’s four tabs down and hardly anyone seems to see it. That way people can actually see that there are human souls on the other side of the game and might want to speak to them.

I’m playing on the PC as well and this is disappointing to say the least.

I miss having squads and teammates that would actually play together. It’s difficult to promote that kind of gameplay when you don’t have some kind of mechanism that reinforces it.

Other Steam games require you to shift_tab to the overlay and find the “Recent Players” tab, and add them to your Friends list from there; but I do agree a system like in BC2 where you can Add to Friends from the scoreboard would be great, as woulda party system. As much as I hate consoles, the Party System was kind of cool (but doesn’t apply to many online PC games).

Even Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood had this option, with parties, friend adds, etc all in the interface.

SD has made shooters before, I am confused.
