hello all people,
im having a problem compiling my map,
every time i try 2 compile it starts up ET and its loading my own hosted server 2 try my maps,but the problem is : it keeps loading:S it never ends,
can u help me out??,

but i dont hav the same problem,
u see it keeps saying loading,
and if its is fully loaded it loads again and again and again:S
i will ignore those topics from now on - or just stop by to tell people i will ignore such topics.
first thing ppl want to learn is a) not to yell and b) give their threads somewhat descriptive
topic names. i’m bored of topics named “help me!” or “i have a problem!” really bored.
And if you would ignore topics, that could be solved by the search function of this board, you would have had not much to read in the last weeks. 
Tru$T, that’s exactly the same problem.
Just move or delete all your pk3 files (from \etmain) except these:
astro-skies.pk3
common.pk3
lights.pk3
mapmedia.pk3
mp_bin.pk3
pak0.pk3
pak1.pk3
but i have many friends that have pk3 files in there etmain and they have no problem doing it

If you have too many pk3-files in your etmainfolder, you might have trouble starting ET and loading maps.
What Orange says is true. And notice that Orange said you can move the pk3-files (you do not have to throw them away). I might add that you do not have to move all at once, if you do not want to. Perhaps the trouble will go away if you move only half of the pk3-files?
And next time you write a question, you might want to have a better topic. 
A more precise topic.
I try to write like this, when I write a topic: “Thing - problem”. In other words:
“What thing is causing the trouble - what is the trouble”.
Like this:
“cl_maxpackets. Should I have 30 or 100?” or:
“Loffy’s maps. Are they the best?” or:
“Loading a custom map. Keeps loading… it never ends!”.
Keep on mapping! What’s your map’s name, by the way? Or is it perhaps just a nonamed test-map?

Even when I use the same computer it sometimes load and sometimes not.
I just move the pk3s into another folder and that saves the trouble.
Well i think what i m going to write can be read about 50 times in diff threads and i m sure u can find it in the first chapter of every mapping-getting-started-tutorial…
1.) You need a clean install of ET for mapping. Just ET and the patch 1.02. Nothing else. Especially NO custom maps in that installation. That s what you need first.
2.) Unzip the pak0.pk3 in that installation. That way you get all the folders and files you need for mapping.
If u work in that ET-installation and ET still freezes you can at least be sure its none of the too-many-pk3s-problems but a fault u made in the map.
If you don’t use a clean installation for mapping you are in for LOTS of SERIOUS TROUBLE at any time while you map…

well i removed all pk3’s accepted the ones u guys told me,
but my ET didnt worked after that so i reinstalled it and NOW IT WORKS:)
BTW: my map name is canal(like the river)
