Razer Synapse - 3rd Party Program?

(colorfulUnion) #1

Does anyone know if Razer Synapse (with a razer naga 2014 for the mouse macros) counts as a 3rd party game enhancing program? i wanna use it because my mouse was quite a bit of money and im kindof scared to because i dont wanna get banned. anyone have some info on this?

I heard some people saying that they got banned for using that program but I’m not sure. I just seen some topics about it.

If I get banned for using what I consider an accessibility program, then I can honestly say this game isn’t worth my time anyways.

(I have a logitech g600 which is essentially the same thing as the naga). I remapped like half my keyboard to my mouse using logitech’s mapping.

I haven’t been banned yet, but if I get VAC banned for using it…

I used to use it just fine with no problems (and then I bought good gear :D)

I use it right now for my razer naga… It doesn’t do anything but let the buttons on my mouse be rebound and allow me to change my sensitivity. Definitely not performance enhancing but more of a convenience maybe? I mean I bought the mouse and it’s the program that helps me use it.

Thank you guys very much for your input. i really appreciate it

Probably fine, warning though, macros are against the rules and if they ever are able to detect it you will be punished for it. Whether you’ll be banned or not I cannot say.

Banning purely because it detects the software would be dumb though since they have to assume people with mice have software for it.

Why do people always try to justify their cheats as “built-in-in-my-mouse” or “I paid for teh mouse I am allowed to cheat”. I pay for an aimbot, am I allowed to use it then or what?! Macros are an advantage other people might not have and therefor a cheat. And cheats should be permanently banned without mercy.
