These guys either have terrible standards for video games or they were given something to say nice things about Brink. More probably the latter.

For some reason there are 2 threads from 2 different people on the exact same subject. Not sure which one will get deleted so heres a copy and paste:

Yup was a very nice review, made brink look like a missunderstood angel.

I mean it is missunderstood, and there are alot of COD fanboys and SP lovers that played the single player and then stopped playing. However, the game is buggy, the game has faults and balance issues. I would suggest a review of the patched game either once the DLC is out, or a bit down the line when its patched into a decent shape, no point telling people its great when there are still so many issues that can be sorted out, but will take a little time.

As I said on the other post someone else made about this game, with this video… great stuff, keep it up.

Go take your ignorance somewhere else.

Sorry guys, there was another post but it didn’t explain what it was or where it was hosted.

Oh, and for the record I have neither been paid or given anything from Splash Damage or Bethesda, that’s what reviewing is, opinions. I guess forum trolls don’t know anything about that. If you bother to watch the whole thing you would see that we have issues with the games as well (aka, single player is crap).

Seriously though, your comment is an opinion too and if that’s what you think that’s who we are, good for you.

(Oligodendryte) #7

This game is objectively crap, too. If you think otherwise, you’re a fool.

Stop being all butthurt just because you don’t want to recognize how bad Brink is.

And I just checked our your pathetic website and YouTube channel. You really are dumb. You make a bunch of garbage that no one likes or cares about. I barely upload or use youtubes since i’m so busy with school and especially med school for the past couple years and I still have way more upload views and subscribers than you. I don’t put out a bunch of garbage out that no one cares about because I’m not an idiot. I also don’t try to defend terrible games, because, again, I’m not an idiot.

Maybe that’s why you defend Splash Damage, huh? You both produce garbage so you both get along?

“Hey, look at me! I am an attention whore and made a review on my crappy blog.”

(Gradis) #10

when they bang on about brinks depth and call it the anti cod game i nearly choked on my cider.

it is anti cod in a way. But compared to qw or et it doesnt have the depth or learning curve or ****aboutblity (new word) of those games. Yeah its moving on old games etc but brink has no charm, no fun and is just a tepid excuse of a release.

the previous games mentioned excelled in some areas and not in others but they had fun, playability and if u like one and not the other either way depth. Brink has none of it. Its a massive dissapointment.

The release has so far been mind boggling. Said it was ready and going through tweaks ages ago then released to what is considered a massive buggy affair. Ignoring ati users problems not testing a map that had no sound? Uk users cant buy it on steam, the very system that was touted as moving forward dumps it and no word or anything. very odd. Farce.

thats my review. not played it for a week except the occasional startup. my cup of tea doesnt get cold by the time its shut down. Im a fan of sd, still am. hope they move on from this turd and do what there good at.

It hits home with me.

Everything mentioned in review is spot on, Single Player should be called Training Tour to prepare you for Multi-Player matches, overall Brink is mainly a Multi-Player game. Also they made a good point, SD should of said from the beginning that this game does not follow a COD formula/mentality for those who did not research and or read and bought the game thinking they were going to be Rambo’n COD style in game.

(wolfnemesis75) #19

Thats one of the things I don’t agree on in their video. SD advertised that you’d be able to play offline, and you can. You get a simulated experience similar to the online within the context of the story. Works as advertised. The bots on your team don’t complete primary objectives by design. If they did, the game could make the player a passive participant, the matches less rewarding and fulfilling, and runs the risk of putting the player “On Rails”. If you stop and think about it: I’d be complaining if the bots kept completing the Objectives; I’d feel more cheated that way. I know that the concept is that you are part of a team, and that the enemy work well against you, but the surest way to make the game challenging offline is to require the player to do the heavy lifting. The simple fact is you can get a similar experience to versus offline. Which I understood was going to be the case from watching all the prelaunch videos! Basically Brink is more like Left 4 Dead, and less like a separate campaign. Its all one thing.

[QUOTE=its al bout security;340958] everyone else here likes the game!

Thats your opinion. Im here in this forum, I thought brink would be good but it turned out to be another dumbed down game for console kids.

However, I hope the dlc would make the game enjoyable.
