Hello mapping types

the old script_mover is v nearly sorted out - just 1 thing, it won’t stop.
players don’t need to be in the trigger, once the thing has been fixed it shoots off v hapilly on it’s own!, oh, it will stop if it gets damaged.

any ideas much appreciated. :cool:

Have a look at the goldrush script. I’m at work and don’t have access to it but search for “stopcheck / stop_check”. The stop checking (ie checking if someone is triggering the mover) is done before the mover (tank or truck in goldrush) can move to the next point.

The script is based closely on the goldrush truck script - as is the script for the truck in my map (which works fine)
Will look closely at the stopcheck section

The way it actually works, is using an accum register as a counter.

In the scriptroutine for the trigger_multiple that is the escort zone, the counter is set to ex. 5.

Then, through the timer routine, the counter is decreased by 1 every second.

Now one of the stop checking routine is continously checking whether or not the counter is 0 or less. If it is the train won’t be allowed to move.

Would you mind casting you expert eyes over the script if I post it up? I’ts purely the train part of the script.
I’ve learned alot while making this map but am still v much lost with script routines - alas!
