Hey devs, where is Ranked? I know u guys said that u guys r giving us some time to get used to the maps but STOP. It isnt like the maps are hugely different. Few jumps and things have been changed, but its still good to go. Stop trying to postpone ranked when its all good to go. The comp scene has been dead for a good while, bring it back. Why wait longer? Stop it. Most of us arent impressed with the new update and getting tired by the time ranked will come back. We need some comp scene! Have u guys still not noticed ur main issues? Focus on the real prob

I agree, sadly every time they took ranked down in the past people just lost more interest in the game by waiting for it to return and moved on to other games.

We’ve been playing ranked every day up until now and it’s been good fun. Bring it back already please!

Takes forever to get a match. Just dedicate a server (or few) for ranked play. No need to go through the theatrics of establishing a match (connection). No reason why it needs to be any different than finding a match in stopwatch or objective.

@OUTLAW thats actually a fantastic idea! Since people have not been playing ranked for a while, have a few servers dedicate to it. Like 3 or 4. And matches start when there are 10 players available. That way we can skip the match connection thing that takes minimum 50 min. This way, we can see how many players are left to start a match, and if players are even willing to go ranked. This is a great idea to encourage more comp. Sadly, I’m not convinced the devs will take this amazing idea into consideration.

One of the main reasons why ranked is dead is because players are not queuing for it. Why? because we assume and are convinced that most players are not playing ranked. The system just makes us wait for 50 min+. If the idea above was implemented, we would be able to see how many players a re willing to rank, and how many are left. @RazielWarmonic could you pls get this across to the devs? pls? this is a great idea

ranked is down because they are tweaking it (it seems) and the whole point of ranked is that there is a elo that will match you with equal opponents with out that there is no point.
as much as I’ve begged SD to add 5v5 public servers, if they got the population in comp to a decent amount then we wouldn’t need them (well maybe to show new player how the game is meant to be played)
Also there already is 5v5 ranked servers without elo or search thats what DBNation is for.

100% agree if we all played ranked balance wouldnt really be a issue (in theory) and 5v5 makes the game alot more fun compared to the 7v7 fuster cluck i normally have to join.

I don’t even mind the spamminess of larger servers, what I do mind is that pubs don’t teach players anything about how to play the game well. Ranked would force you to learn if you wanted to progress, and if you didn’t you could happily sit at your rank and play as usual. Add that to SD actually explaining how spawn timers and such work in Stopwatch and we’d actually have a relatively smooth matchmaking experience.

There’s nothing wrong with having a lower rank, and it’s the lower ranks where you’d likely see more messing around. They could even introduce gradual friendly fire if it was truly an issue, with none existing at bronze, 50% at silver, 75% at gold and 100% at cobalt and above.

¯_(ツ)_/¯ I just want to get some good games and this game’s player pool needs everyone in one area to work, I’m not too optimistic about a split player base over server browser, CMM and Real MM.

Hello guys.
I’ve never played ranked, since I’ve no team, I’m solo and, due to age and work I’ve not that much time for a truly competitive scene.
But I would like to play the ranked format, I mean, 5vs5, FF on, the teamplay… I would like to stay away from the majority of unbalanced pub matches that I’m not enjoying lately.

I’m heading to level 42 now, I’m not hightly skilled like some of you but I’m not bad either. I’ve good and bad days, I just would like to enjoy the community more.
My in-game nick is “sberla”, I also play with my alt account (when waiting for mission to refresh) “dokgg”.

I’m not sure if this is the right thing to do, I’m not sure if ranked matches will be better and more fun, I’ve never experienced that. I just hope so, because I’m not having that fun on pubs right now.

I did read DBnation does some pugs but I don’t know where to start.
Hope I could get some help. Thank you.

Aight okay so. To play ranked (when it comes back) you don’t need a team. It’s like queueing in any other game that has ranked, think CS:GO or DotA. You hit queue, you get ranked against similar skill players, and you play.

You don’t need to be good to play ranked, a lot of players think it’s only for good players cause they played in their placement matches and got stomped once. But if you get stomped, you’ll get a rank that puts you against players who shouldn’t stomp you, but offer a good and balanced game. This won’t always be the case, especially with a smaller playerbase, but it’ll be better than pubs or cmm ever will be.

Ranked would be more fun if everyone played it and had a rank, because you’d be playing against players just like you. Lower ranks will be for newer players or those who’re content to sit at their skill level and just play. Higher ranks for those who have dedicated a lot of time to the game and want a challenge outside of 1v6ing pubs.

DBNation does pugs, check out their Discord. I can’t provide a link right now but I’m sure someone can. They’re 5v5 and with friendly fire on, stopwatch mode, just like DB was designed to be.
