Ranked still has no penalties for leaving in lobby.

LOL

(Dawnlazy) #22

One note must be made, there’s that glitch that suddenly disconnects everyone from the lobby, it should be fixed before any anti-dodge changes are made.

(Mischievous_Mac) #23

I reported this as a bug in the subforum.

(kittz0r) #24

People dodge in Queue and you will get a Penalty… works superb… and fuck these dodgers and useless craps who think this is Public
Yes, i want to win like everonye. I dont mind if i lose in a well-balanced game. But its nonsense to play with 20-30-100 hrs players against a full team of 1000+ hrs players.

I have a few hours in this game so i know the most of the high lvl/high skilled players. And yes, if i see them on the enemy team and noone’s familiar in my team i will leave for sure…
At very least you should be able to learn something from those 1000+ hour players. Why are they winning? Trust me, it isn’t just because of their level or the number of hours they’ve played.

Learn from your losses and adapt, maybe even use some of their strategies in your next match.

but K/D
but W/L

Individual skill ceilings? Spare time to invest into constant training? Raw talent? Some things can’t be evened out on the playing field, otherwise every football player would be the next Ronaldo/Messi/Neuer/etc… which is fine, that’s what matchmaking is supposed to take care of in Ranked.

(SnakekillerX) #28

Sure, but even some football games end with scores that seem completely 1 sided. But people don’t complain about “Balance” in those cases, its just one team did really well, and the other team didn’t.

The current ranked system isn’t perfect, I don’t think anyone is claiming that… but it isn’t completely broken either and from every loss, there is something to be learned.

I don’t see why people try to play ranked if they don’t expect to be challenged.

(dlux) #29

I don’t even play a lot but even then I keep running in to the same dodgers every time.
The time is ripe for a penalty.

Don’t teamkill, spawn camp or cry and i usually won’t mind.
Though i still hate when my team is 3 Proxies and a sniper.
spawn camp part of the game.

ESPECIALLY in ranked.

(kopyright) #32

Yeah, but they don’t have to play against the same team three gamedays in a row.

(SnakekillerX) #33

If they can beat you back to your spawn and keep you there, then the match has already been decided.

Just another reason to stay far, far away from Ranked

isn’t that what all shooter games devolve to ?

dont know about other shooter games. it should be mentioned that spawncamp as a valid strategy to cut off enemy reinforcements is very different from spanwcamp because one team is a lot strongly and simply pushed the other team all the way to their spawn.

I get that this is not fun to experience as the weaker team, but it is not the spawncamp itself, but the team imbalance thats the problem. how would it be any more fun to run towards objective for 5-10 sec longer and get just as badly rekked as soon as encountering the frontline?

in the other context, spawncamping is an exciting strategy build around splitting and ambushing enemy forces: its pretty much required to stop some defenders on transit to objective before a plant/delivery can be done.

the fact that DB has atrocious symmetrical AND synchronized spawns is another issue, but spawncamping is here to stay, and if people want to get better they should just accept it and learn how to defend against it/incorporate it into their strategy

(GatoCommodore) #38

spawn camping is not a real problem tho, i rarely seen it even when one side is pretty noob and the other is pretty strong (since the latest map tweaks).

being afraid to push is one of the major problem new players need to overcome. They didnt understand that dying in this game is normal and not as punishing as games such as CSGO or R6 Siege and beyond that, we have medics and you can get infinite ammo.

(Nail) #39

I guess devolve wasn’t the best word, I didn’t mean it as a derogatory term, but a practical one

(Szakalot) #40

like i said, i dont know about other games. at least in ET, many comp meta’s revolved around a good spawncamp, and both teams were basically fighting over that, making for an excited multilayered game (defenders cant protect obj only cause they lose map control of their spawn, but cant protect spawn only either, cause they will lose obj); spawncamp also allowed for exciting counterpushes, where you’d push the attackers away, setting them on long spawns whilst respawning yourself immediately)

maybe other games recently picked up on this layer of strategy and try to emulate it?

id imagine its the other type of spawncamp, where people just get rekt on spawn with no counterplay
