Ranked season 3 rewards

The introduction of ranked specific loadouts for season 2 was great, but I feel they could be changed a little, to make the reward feel less grindy.

  1. Lower the cost.

Some people (like me) can’t play as much as we’d like, and others just can’t find a game. Please either lower the coast or increase the amount of points earned.

  1. Less RNG.

I know that we’re being given something by the devs, and I sure do appreciate it, but at this stage the amount of RNG is over the top. I can’t imagine how frustrated I’d be if I got a card for a merc that I don’t own. Please allow us somehow limit the mercs that the reward is for.

  1. The option to re-roll a card.

Please allow us to spend some ranked points (25-50% of 1 case would be a good amount IMO) to remove the card from our inventory and try for another.

Any other suggestions?

Well, I’d actually like ranked cards to be somewhat rare; having value and speaking for themselves, as some kind of achievement, instead of being common among 24/7 pubbers who played ranked only aiming to grind for a card

Re-rolls and RNG control would be nice, maybe even mandatory for some. This may be a free to play game, and RNG can help SD feed .shoe, but Ranked loadouts really deserve better care. Plus, you can’t even cash out for Ranked stuff in the first place.

The price feels fair though, and I barely play Ranked, so I only got a Sparks card (that I can’t even use, because Asian eyes kills aiming). Maybe they could drastically increase the rank rewards, so you can unlock some stuff during the season, but you get way more points at rhe end. This would actually encourage people to play better to rank up, rather than surrendering three minutes in for a free 10 points, or shuffle six times over to get that guy carrying the other team in hopes of scoring a 50.

The pricing for the loadout cards is actually not so bad, but it feels like nothing for people that frequent ranked and feels like forever for those who don’t or can’t.

Personally, I’d think it’d be great if the first loadout card was like, 500 ranked points, and then the next is 750, then the one after that is 1000 etc… So that it’s friendlier for first timers but still a challenging reward for veterans and frequenters.

Here’s my shopping list for ranked season 3:

  1. Merc specific cases
    Much like actually crafting, let us choose the merc we want to pull a skin for. Maybe make these cases cost 1,000 ranked points and then also have the 100% random merc pull cases cost about 500. That leaves room for people to get cases who can’t find matches (aka me) while also allowing people to search for that perfect loadout for a merc they actually use.

Yeah that’s pretty much it. I got 4 pulls for season 2 and I really only use 1 of the mercs I pulled a card for and 2 of the ones I don’t use were duplicates. I just don’t want that to happen again.

I think they should not touch the cost of the cases, making ranked skins easier to get devalues the cobalt cards unless they change the crafting system. I don’t want to get into the economics of loadout cards.

That being said there should be less RNG. I’m not saying no RNG, just less RNG, maybe something along the lines Ranked case A & B, like the expert and elite cases.

I don’t think lowering the price is needed. The current model is good enough EXCEPT for getting duplicate cards, so I agree with having a re-roll feature for sure.

Price is fine as it is. But getting the 500 free comp points every season like they did with S2 would be nice but it wouldn’t be too bad without it.

Less RNG is not really possible, but a reroll system won’t hurt. It would even be nicer if you could reroll by adding credits to add another use to them.

At least half of my rank credits wsre waisted on doubles and triples of the same merc i already had a card for

A minimum of around 5-10 hours for one card was a bit insane (and that’s only if you win every game). It wouldn’t have been bad if finding games was possible, but I could only find a game during the middle of the “peak times.” Generally this would take 10-20 minutes to find a game as well. I was also stuck playing with the same terrible people each game.

That was for U.S. servers. I know EU was probably different, but living in the U.S., I was unable to play on EU servers because the lag was awful. Tons of U.S. players still played on EU servers though and this left U.S. servers empty. This was partially due to the update that made it so the server defaulted to EU every time you start up the game (and lots of people didn’t pay attention).

Hopefully these issues are sorted out with Season 3 and then playing/grinding for cards won’t be so bad.

What I would love to see in ranked is a betting system. You play a ranked game and you can choose to bet one of your three loadout for your opponent’s one, if he agrees. The winner of the match goes with both cards out.

I would certainly love a betting system like that, just so I can coax someone to take the 241 Sparks loadout that I can’t use.

Yeah, well I for sure wont. SD knows very well the value of each loadouts. They have full control over their slot machine. An open market would mean value is fixed by the community. Honestly I’m not for that, at all.

I think the stability of the cards relative to the accounts is fine. Less smurfs, less cheats. But in regards to duplicates and in a way to spice up ranked a bit, allowing to bet for one card should be fine. Dunno, maybe I’m just brainstormfarting.
