Ranked Reset all my settings for everything, not just ranked even standard. i cant even remember most of the settings!

Should be pretty easy to remember, no? Its lame they were reset but it shouldn’t take that long to fix a few binds.

Yeah all of my settings were reset. I set my settings in summer 2015 I have NO IDEA what I set my mouse sensitivity to or my FOV. I think I got them right but I can’t be sure, it just feels a tiny bit off no matter what I do.

The most settings/custom keybinds are easy to remember, except one of the most important ones: could you say right now, what is your mouse sensitivity?

I don’t think it is necessary to reset evry settings in bigger updates, but if SD decides to do so, please, PLEASE add a pop-up window notifying me. Luckily my friends told me that the settings were reset before I started playing, but a couple of them jumped in ranked straight with 10 mouse sensitivity, 65 FoV etc. They couldn’t hit anything with those settings, and lost the first game.

Different fov and sensitivity will throw off your muscle memory and if you don’t remember your previous settings it’s going to take some time to get used to the new one.
I haven’t had a chance to download the update yet, I’ll get my fov and sensitivity from ini before I start steam. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah same happened to me. Luckily I found out before going straight into ranked and I was able to rebind everything

My sensitivity is at 30 on the dot. One of the lucky ones I guess.

Always handy to make backups of your config folder before bigger updates.

Also the resetting isn’t entirely SD’s fault, its known irk with UE3 engine (Paladins does this for example too), when certain stuff is changed for the patch, also certain configs reset.

It did this because we fixed a bug (ikr, sounds odd). There was a bug where players’ F keys would unbind during matches so you couldn’t change Merc unless you rebound them. By fixing this, it caused a reset of everyone’s settings as a side effect. This should not happen again in future! But it’s always handy to have a copy of your settings lying around.
