Ranked rankings...

I’ve been playing a while… and from what I have gathered:

It doesn’t matter whether it is a win, loss, draw or vote surrender:

A loss always gives me about -27% to my ranked progression.

A draw always gives me about -3% to my ranked progression.

A win always gives me about +17% ranked progression.

In order to actually go up a rank I need 7 wins for every 4 losses. A 1.75 win ratio, which is a rather tall order. It is fine in the bronze ranks where it is easy to win all on your own. However, since you cannot escape having those bronze ranked players in the higher silver ranks - you just cannot win enough due to matchmaking issues.

Thus what I would suggest is that you actually put the win and loss bonuses to the same line. Good players would not be stuck at that silver rank bottleneck, they would advance higher to the ranks. Thus lower skill level players would not be pitted against players that they have no chance to beat, and with higher number of higher ranked players it would not take so long to find a match.

Not only should win and lose be at the same rate, but a draw should not cost you ranked progression. Getting punished for a balanced match is just strange.

Yeah i was about to rank up and if we won i would have ranked up. But instead we lost last second and i dropped to -29 from one match to rank up. I have a feeling ill be a max of level 2 silver again as it seems like alot of matches are always the same, 3 players only care about kills 1 player plays engi but runs around with his head cut off ignorig obj, and then there me mr potato aim but has all the experiance but gets ignored probably muted when trying to give the plebs directions and warn them on turret,mine rhino locations as the walk into them any way. Oh and i usualy need to to suicide repairs or damn thing never gets repaired

Then theres the rare matches that wish where all the time, ehere half the team has a mic and actualy communicates and keeps each other informed. Even with my porato aim we still either tie or win because theres actual teamwork/intelegance due to the communication.

I know the feeling… It is just so rare to get a match that is actually exciting. A match with an outcome that is guessed after just the first two minutes or so.

Also you shouldn’t be punished the level progression with any leavers on your team as much. Perhaps for every player that leaves you decrease the deprogression percentage by “x” amount.

And the one that leaves should have a higher rank loss than normal as a way to combat against leavers trying to reduce teams rank reduction.

Also if 1 or more elite ranked players is on a team the oposite team should be given a handycap expecialy if the team is all low silver or less. I remember one time being paired up with 4 mid bronse players and against 3 mid silver and an elite and lets just say i was the only one that was able to break free from the spawn camp at least 2 times thanks to phantom being my main and getting arou d all the proxy mines/turrets that match biut yeah think i had my worst k/d ever that match

Alright… Been taking some data for 3rd ranked season. Now losses and wins have both given roughly -/+ 28~ %… But ranked still remains cancer… You just cannot escape those level 7 scrubs, and what not…

Its not ballanced at all. When one team completes all 3 obj and other team cant. Complete the first obj and takes 75% of the total time avail to get first plant. Its not ballanced

Now, there is some fluctation in the percentage… The range seems to be about (+ or -) 15 to 33.
