I’m hoping to find a good up to date primer for ranked, what do i need before i head in etc… I like to be prepared, i’m level 8 atm; but i can hold my own, only down side for me atm is getting more proficient in certain trick jumps. I’m also interested in what the meta is, since there are like 19 classes im almost certain they’re not all used.

Just find a merc you like and play in 6v6 or 8v8 objective matches, learn how to play your role and move around the map effectively and that’s about all you can do besides practicing your mobility and aim in the assault course.

- Stop playing objective mode
- Learn your 3-5 main mercs
- Learn spawntimes and how they influence attacks / defends
- Learn the maps
- Learn a bit more about spawn times, now that you understand all the maps
- Learn what each merc does and how they telegraph their abilities
- Learn even more about spawn times, now that you understand all the maps and mercs
- I hope you worked on your aiming abilities while trying to learn spawn times
- Learn the useful trickjumps
- Learn to play with friendly fire in ranked
- Go and play against better players, you only get good by getting stomped

It’s actually not a huge issue, you mostly have to worry about AOE abilities. Typically you also have to worry more about being friendly fired upon than hitting teammates. (This is because you’re probably already used to not shooting teammates because you can’t shoot through them.)
Try not to walk into your team’s line of fire.
