Agreed - especially when it’s an ugly purple shiny. That said, I do think a system like this could work:
Make it a weighted system based on individual score with opposing ranks, match time, and whether you win, lose, or tie taken into consideration. Similar to how credits are calculated at the end of the match. It’d be too hard to manipulate the system and just case farm with that many variables accounted for.
