Dont take it like an insult. Most players are by design silver players and there is nothing wrong with being one and no, I dont know how skilled you and your friends are.
I am one of those players who are stuck in silver as well. And I was super furios about it for a time. But when I look at my situation objectively. I think I belong in high silver and I bet in the mean time most players who are silver belong there. Yes, there are some gold players who probably got lucky and are worse then me and there are some players with my rank who are way worse then me. But all in all, when I see the average low gold player, I have to admit that he is better then me.
I think it is more of a psychological problem. Everybody starts as silver after their placement games. So everybody spent a lot of time in the beginning of this season playing with players who are way worse. People who went on and have gotten to gold and elite have the feeling they moved away and gained a rank that shows, that they are better.
We who belong into silver, we basically stayed with the more or less same rank the whole time. The rank we associate with the walking potatoes. And even when the potatoes are now down ranked to bronze where they belong and which is the real potato rank. We still have the feeling of “god damn it, how can I be silver when even the worst potatoe is silver”.
Maybe for season 3 there should be more placement matches (30-40) and only after those the rank will be displayed. (there would be an iternal match making of course. I dont propose to get thrown into games randomly for 40 matches) This would have the really low skilled players in bronze immediately and silver wouldnt be so tarnished.

Yeah, it can feel frustrating to not be able to advance especially when see ppl in your games that are worse than you in every aspect of the game while having about the same or better rank than you.
And even if you feel stuck, if you are in high silver now you probably will be able to become a gold before the season is over if you dont give up since it usually becomes easier to climb as the season progresses. (and you could always get lucky)
@kopyright Well, I play Ranked to test my skills and push myself more (yes I’m a masochist).
The painful issue here is that I can’t actually know how good I am because the ELO system isn’t all that reflective of player skill, and no one in Asia plays DB. You guys can ramble on about getting stuck in certain ranks, and propose hundreds of better systems, and I have seen some good suggestions, but player deficiency is an issue that is actually rather scary, and may (and possibly has( ruin our enjoyment for the game.
well i just got a 16 hrs ban for nothing i crashed at start due to bugs relog back into the game we won was happy but when i had finsh

Going from high silver too gold is definely not easier, i was for the most time silver master but i couldnt rank up, because of the horrible ranking system i needed to win 2 times for every match that i lost. The moment you are high silver the system will start to give you even worse balanced matches, because of the low playerbase, becoming high silver gives you the great ´honor´ to play with high gold. and cobalt players. Which gives you great matches like the one i posted in a other thread; 4 silver and gold vs 3 silver and 2 cobalt.
I won around 60% of the matches but because i need to alteast win 2 matches for every loss, i still ended up getting demoted 2 times, and that is wat made me give up ranked in the end.
My experience with ranked is so bad, i started to really hate the game, only after i decided i just dont bother with ranked anymore and play pubs again did i regain the love i have for this fun game.
Even when they will announce a new season, i will not bother with dirty bomb ranked ever again.

Well, my experiences are way different. I think a low gold is way worse now, skill wise, than 1 month ago.

Are u sure its 2 wins for every loss feels worse than that when i de rank it goes to about half of the next rank then takes quite a few wins to go back up a rank
Also i think ranked needs to be set higher than 7 im tired of fighting with people playing aura that fee like the open is great spots for a heal station. I tell them put in corners or out of the line of site and they tell me to be lucky they put one out to begin with. That and jackasses not throwing out ammo packs/med packs to any one but them selves
