I don’t know if there is a topic made about this problem. I join a ranked matchmaking but when I saw the team before connecting to any maps I want to leave because if you don’t like the your/opposing team is no reason to stay and start playing when you know that you will lose. I don’t see the opposing team lvl which I suggest beyond lvl 10 because I lost several ranked battles and I don’t see any balance since is ranked but not balanced teams.
Ranked matchmaking and lvls?
Low player pool = unbalanced games. No one plays Ranked because there’s zero reason to play it right now.
How you know if you like/dislike the teams if you can’t see their steam profiles or levels/ranks before you are in the game itself/after it?
@ jostabeere I don’t see any change you win against clan in DB. The opposing I encounter in ranked matchmaking are clan party.
Well ranked right does only really make sense playing with a full team, which is what I do (once a month max when we decide to play ranked again). If you have decent friends and good communication due to Ts or skype you can coordinate even your mercs via individual skill with them and your friends skills in different situations and therefore have quite a big advantage beforehand since your team WILL be prepared for everything and WILL communicate.
Leaving a game before it even starts… Wow. At least give it a shot. It’s still a learning experience even of the opposition is better than you. It’s called competitive for a reason. If you wanted easy games, go to pubs…
I’m not saying leaving for no reason. I wonder if the battle is even worth if you encounter opposing db clans or experience players. Not much funny if you need to stick 30 min playing attacker and defender while you died before leaving the spawn.
It’s still a d*ck move to leave your teammates. Playing organized teams is how you improve. Bailing on them just because you didn’t want to play competitively isn’t fair to them. Go play pubs if you don’t want competition.
Clans don’t mean anything. Sometimes you have a clan made up of people who simply enjoy playing games together, not because they are godly at the game in question.
Still, why play competitively if you aren’t looking for a challenge? Quitting before the match starts won’t make you any better at the game.

It’s not stupid move to leave my teammates. I play other games and if you abadon a match with reason is okay unless you join and then quit during battle is cowardly.

You’re screwing over 9 other people on the server. If you think of it in selfish terms you might be able to justify that you have a good reason. But when you think about the other 9 people who waited who knows how long for a match only to have somebody quit out because they use some inaccurate and arbitrary skill measuring stick in hopes of maybe having an easier match then it’s not justifiable. You don’t get picked for teams in any game or sport then randomly say, “F this, I’m out. I don’t know any of you or how skilled you are but I’m leaving because I might not win.”

First is not selfish or rather about skills, easier match is is not reason to quit. I see in other games people quit during battle and the team rage through the mic, win/lost the battle and join again in a new competieve match in short time. In DB, I can understand if you wait for 10,15,20 min to get a ranked mm, I understand that isn’t justify with any good reason to quit and leave the match.

No, it’s not okay. Leaving before you ever try is the cowardly part. You’re ruining a game that people more than likely waited upwards of 20 minutes to play. You just made the game more unbalanced and leas fun for nine people because you decided that you didn’t want to try against a team you have no idea about.
Do the competitive community a favor and just play pubs, where you are free to leave whenever you want.
I get why people leave.
It’s just a sh*tty reason, and is amplified when you are in a competitive environment.

Sorry, if ranked mm has a large playerpool then no one care about the quiting players, only the low playerpool means longer waiting time to get a battle then you get high frustration on the quiting players.
Is this thread a joke?
There’s no possible way of knowing whether or not you and your team are going to win a match…

In these “other games” you keep mentioning, there are often AI bot systems put in place (CS:GO etc.), when speaking of fps titles. In MOBAs I highly doubt there are bots (somebody feel free to correct) so leaving there is equally frustrating for everyone involved. We used to play CS:GO with group of 4 and having our 5th fella quitting resulted in horde of sights in TS. Doesn’t matter if we can get to next match in 1minute, we want to play the game we got put into and do our best.

Exactly this. Look @Sytry, before I had me crew to play with I also had small shivers going down me spine when seeing full clan team against (played MM when it didnt have the entire playerbase escaped). Realized after finding our team of randoms shreking some [OCB] fellas that theres absolutely no reason to lose morale over some fancy tags. For the record, OCB as an example is a massive community on both sides of the puddle, even with clantags they can be completely new to each other. They too have more organized team though, nowadays I’d itch to play against them.
Stop staring at clantags and blaming on external factors on your lack of motivation and/or losses. I hate this way of saying with passion, but it fits the situation way too well to pass: git gud or go pubs.
It’s about mindset, if you lack the motivation to get better and are not prepared to get rekt now and then and afterwards analyzing reasons why in order to avoid same mistakes, nope, ranked is not for you.
@ bontsa I don’t mention cs:go and not all games get a bot replacing a missing teammate. So don’t talk things like you know a lot. It’s not about motivation and get better. You get only better if you play a match and you learn from the lost, a good match with a acceptable lost. In cs:go, “you stay as a team and fight till the last bullet” which you know you don’t let you team behind.
