Randomly kicked and suspended

(alertRidge) #1

Hello DB,

I was browsing some server where I suddenly got kicked from the game. I couldn’t log back in because it said my account got suspended. I do use a config to tweak the graphics, and I probably ran chrome and a chat program. It might also be possible that I had a launcher open for another game, but I can’t remember that.

Already sent a ticket but no reply yet. Username is: Xanro

Thanks in advance.

I’ll be joining you here on the suspension train. Question though, are you suspended for a set amount of days, or…?

I already posted on the Steam forums but yea

I have the exact same message as you, EvoSteven. It’s for 2 days but it occured randomly.

PS: I wouldn’t post your issue on steam, they imediately assume you used third party software, which is not the case. The devs can track us via reviewing demo’s.

(CC_FANG) #4

Sounds like maybe the anticheat is flagging some program you all are running. You can always email customersupport@nexon.net to discuss the issue, although you might not get a reply until your suspension is up, anyway. It may help if they are able to figure out what is causing your issue, though

(alertRidge) #5

There are more people having the issue at the moment. Even people that didn’t run any other program are getting the suspended message. However, the problem should be known now. I reported it via forum, mail and stream.

Still suspended at the moment. 2 day timer should be over somewhere today.

(EvoSteven) #6

Did not use any third-party software different from before the patch update (which is 0 anyway). Heck, I don’t even use an anti-virus (apart from the standard Windows one) because I know what to do and what to avoid.

Reported it via mail (no answer yet), 2x forums (steam and here, not my own thread though), and went a bit about it on stream but no real answer anywhere. I still have 1 day to go so it’s really not fun…

And yes, haha. Steam people instantly accused me of cheating and hacking. 'tis a silly bunch, that place.

(Viquel) #7

Same here. Funnily, the message says “detected use of third party programs or software while playing Dirty Bomb”

Guess what? There are 132 processes running currently (chrome spawns a lot of them  ) I’m using Avira, that is currently the only program that could hook into processes.

At other times, Process Hacker (that is mainly an advanced taskmanager - unfortunate name) could have been running, maybe HxD (hex editor with memory viewer)

Non-suspicious programs that were certainly runnign while I was banned (assuming that a ban is triggered on startup) Spotify, Chrome, AirMech, InfranView, Steam (ikr)

(EvoSteven) #8

Someone else reported using an custom task manager.

I however am not running anything weird so eh.

I was running Steam, Skype, Chrome and that’s it.
Background programs were Logitech Gaming Software, Sound Blaster Cinema, Canon IJ Network Scanner (printer thing), Realtek HD Audio Manager, MouseWithoutBorders and Killer Network Manager.

I’ve been suspended since yesterday, so far what I’ve tried:
steam forums --> no response (from a dev atleast)
nexon forums (these forums) --> similar cases found, no response to any of them
nexon dirty bomb support page --> not active yet, chat is offline, tells me to e-mail them
e-mail --> no response
stream --> no real help and a pun (to be expected but eh, got desperate)
Twitter “@DirtyBomb” --> no response
Twitter “@splashdamage” --> redirected me to Facebook
Facebook --> sent a message 2 hours ago, so far no response.

I know the game isn’t out yet but it seems like you can’t actually get any help when it comes to things like these. Customer support is basically non-existent.
At this point, ANY help would be appreciated…

And we all know that the regular gamer doesn’t go through 8 different points of contact.

(EvoSteven) #9

Seems to have been resolved for me. It has been 48 hours. Wooo~ I guess…

@MissMurder this seems to be an issue with an increasing number of people, keep an eye out for this perhaps?

(alertRidge) #10

Issue has been resolved for me as well, but I guess the timer finished.

(Nail) #11

seems pretty much any kind of network manager can trigger xignpoop

(EvoSteven) #12

Well I have a network manager but it’s not activated. Nonetheless it runs at startup.

(MissMurder) #13

If you do sincerely believe you have been wrongfully banned contact customersupport@nexon.net - to further enforce @CC_FANG’s comment.

any other suggestion since i messaged them a few days ago since i was supposed to be suspended for 2 days still banned. i was talking to fang we think it was my cutom mumble ingame overlay hooking into the game… i need to be unbanned im playing in cup on 19th

(Viquel) #15

Technically, you’re out of luck:

EULA 2.4. You will refrain from using any hacks, cracks, bots, or third party software which may modify, temporarily or permanently, the Software or the user experience of the Game, whether on your local machine or on servers which enable use of any features of the Game;

but no worries, you can get banned for anything, without getting any notice what was the offending program. Just wait it out - writing to support doesn’t make anything faster anyways

same here…

(R5on11c) #17

@MissMurder i always see you tune out as soon as the Nexon Support doesn’t opt for actually helping people. I seriously want your words on that because it’s not a new problem and this isn’t something that happens rarely in proportion.

Are the players just screwed if Nexon says so? Because that doesn’t seem like a fair concept considering that quite a few players invested real life money and a lot of playtime and dedication.

(MissMurder) #18

@R5on11c players aren’t getting permanently banned unless they have repeatedly offended. 2 day suspensions are going out after careful monitoring. CS can’t tell you what malicious program is getting flagged because that runs the risk of the person now knowing what they have to hide to get away with it.

mumble overlay wont get you banned

(god1) #20

This basically gives cheat developers a free try to test the anti-cheat if it detects their hacks or not without compromising their accounts. Why not just permaban for the first time?
