I don’t understand how my computer can run games like Fallout 4, The Evil Within, Borderlands, all 3 Bioshocks, GTA 5,Skyrim, BRINK, etc. At the highest settings But I can’t run this game for longer then an hour?
I’ll play 1 game just fine, but after I try loading in to the next game, I crash, with the error “Ran out of video memory”.
This error confuses the hell out of me. Idk what to do.

I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it more then once, I have tried looking up solutions on google with only 1 result that didn’t work.

PLEASE IF YOU COULD FIND IT IN YOUR HEARTS TO LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM, I WILL FORGIVE THE COBALT SPARKS CARD YOU GAVE ME lol.

Hey there.

I read that 4 GB RAM is the minimum requirement for Dirty Bomb.
I believe 8 GB should be just fine.
Then again, I have 16 GB and the last time this happened to me was when I tried a custom config.
Talking about custom configs, in case you are running one, try to put it off and see how it goes.
If not, have you tried to lower the settings?

DB runs in 32 bit so it cannot possibly use more than 3.75GB system memory. Anyhow this error is related to video memory which would be how much VRAM your GPU has, not the normal system RAM.

I get this problem >50% of the time playing on Dome in particular since the last update. I have a 2GB GPU (HD6950) and 6GB system memory, I have an overlay which tells my my current RAM usage for both. It crashes at 2~4GB total system memory usage and anywhere from 0.5~1.5GB video memory usage so I know it’s not actually running out since that’s about 75% usage max for both.

Anyone else know anything or having the same issue?

I got this same issue once. I think I was even playing DOME when it happened. My DB has actually been crashing a lot since the last update, usually on DOME. It has been crashing though on practically all the levels, so you guys are not alone.
