Raising level cap = ALOT more people with downed fire?

Am I the only person that finds this ability irritating? Seems with the level cap raise we won’t be limited to one tier 5 ability.

You can already get multiple tier 5 abilities right? I thought you just had to save up points for when you hit level 20

I don’t like it at all. There are much better ways to go about distribution abilities so that you can make truly unique builds.
It’s almost as if they went for making the entire process as little thought provoking as possible.I’m really disappointed.

Downed Fire doesn’t bother me much. I always pump a few rounds into everyone once they’re on the ground. I like to pull out my shotgun and blast em in the face, but usually just keep on shootin them with ma Chinzorrrrrr!

I started off shooting downed Medics so they don’t self revive.
Then I started shooting downed Operatives in case of cortex bombs.
Then I made sure to shoot downed objective classes near the objective.
Now I just shoot everyone everywhere.

You can get as many rank 5 abilities as you save up for. Downed fire isn’t hard to deal with. Learn 2 play.

You can see if someone is about to use downed fire, and because the ability also reduces their downed health, it takes far fewer bullets for you to finish them than it does for them to take you down (also they have reduced accuracy).

Wow Dopa, way to unnecessarily be an ass.

I feel raising it above 20 does kinda ruin choosing a proper build. Its fine letting the levelling carry on but you shouldn’t be rewarded abilities for it. Especially good now that they’ve been adding more abilities.

it does defeat the point of some of the other abilities in the game. The operatives commes hack is an example, the guy has to be alive to comms hack him but they just start shooting you, forcing you to shoot them but then you cant hack them :l

If I know everyone has Downed Fire I start to shoot everyone even after knocking them down.

Whatever on reduced accuracy. I swear the tampa gets more accurate when you’re downed.

When I read that they were raising the level cap, the first thing I thought was, “Oh, Tok is not going to like this.” I agree with you, but I’m hoping the new abilities will keep characters unique.

The bots always have downed fire so I get used to being prepared for it. There was a guy on the crane with downed fire killing our whole team every time we tried to fix the crane. We didn’t know why we were dying because he was surrounded by bodies. It was sooooooo funny. But yeah…in the challenges the bots always have downed fire, so I’ve learned to finish them off quick, so I do the same against humans too. I don’t leave anyone alive unless we are making a push to get the Agent in the closing minutes on to the boat.

I don’t use one in favor of cortex… The thing I hate is that everyone has silent running, it should only be available to the light body class IMO, I can’t imagine a heavy running silently with a chaingun…

Yeah, I don’t mind either. It’s not overpowered, and I’m already used to assuming that everyone has it and acting accordingly.

I can’t believe people are complaining about DF. I have yet to be killed by it, all you have to do is nudge them and they die. On a side note, did SD say they are raising the level cap? I had heard about some free DLC but haven’t been on the forums in a while.

Yeah level cap goes to 24 with DLC. And there will be 5 new abilities, one for each class, then one Universal. There is a thread showing specifics. Plus 2 maps, Founders Tower and Lab, and then some more outfits, a Sad Punk with steampunk elements, and one of Security.
