Rain Color?

(g-ram) #1

hey guys,
I was wondering if there was a way to change the color of the rain as it falls from the sky (like on radar)
thanks in advance,
-g-ram

You could try to change the texture with “remapshader” in the script.

i know you can set it to falling fireballs but i never really found out how…
something with hellfire i believe lol… :stuck_out_tongue:

(mrfin) #4

Falling fireballs!!! now that would be handy

(Shaderman) #5

Or fireballs and snow at the same time?

I don’t remember the worldspawn key and values but if someone is really interested in those fireballs, I could find it out again.

(mrfin) #6

Fireballs sound interesting - especially if you can turn them on and off

(Flippy) #7

i dont think you can… can you turn rain on or off? they work the same as rain i think… only look different :stuck_out_tongue:

Isn’t it ETPro only?

(cookie_box) #8

it would be awsome to turn rain on and of

(=SC=Beef) #9

just modify the raindrop.tga file

(kamikazee) #10

This is the least preferred way as it will mess with any local game.

Yepp bad idea beef. Use the remapshader command in your map if you want to change things like that.

How can i fix this error? MAX EDGE LINES?

(shagileo) #13

Lol at those fireballs… but most of the people have atmospheric effects off I guess

Please search first and find a topic that fits with your problem.
But while I’m at it:

you prolly have too many arbitrary sides on some brushes.
You probably have a circle with over 20 - 25 arbitrary sides. If not, then you just have too complex brushes with too many ‘edges’. Reduce the amount of ‘edges’ in your map.
