Rain and shadows and tracemapcommand

#1

hello I making a batterymap and i want rain or haze to make a unwatchable horizon over the sea.
and i want a nightmap full of shadows and darkness.
what is a tracemap? mortars and airstrikes and precision airstrikes work without it…

the sea is a waterbrush, big, but it ends before the horizon so i want a unwatchable horizon.
how to make haze?, its looks stupid if the sea ends…

How to make shadows? like a night full of darknes for hiding the coastlines for enemies

sorry for bad english…

hi

The tracemap is needed for percipitation (rain and snow) and for the mortar to function properly. You can set up and fire the mortar without a tracemap, but the projectile will not land without it.

I have not used fog so much. Here are some forum posts abuot fog:

About the shadows: You can compile the map with or without the light stage. If you only compile your map without light, then everything will look shiny and bright and there will be no shadows. To see shadows, you must compile your map with the light stage, so that light and shadows are “baked into” the map.
