While playing today I noticed that the info being passed on was in “walkie talkie” speech so to speak. You could here the clicking after Chen or one of your teammates telling you what he was going to do. Any idea on how to make all games have this audio? Thanks in advance for your replys.
Radio Communications
Its cool, but makes it hard when you want to chat with team mates. I ended up running the walkie talkie through my TV. Neat idea. Innovative to be sure. Most games aren’t trying fresh stuff as much.
Is there something you select out of the options menu, under the audio portion of options? Or is there a way which I don’t understand. I tried passing this on to someone else, but they are not quite grasping the fact that this can be done, or myself. LOL
the radio chatter in BRINK is starting to annoy me, i want to mute it but if i do i end up muting Mokoena’s & Chen’s orders.
Go to options and change the chatter so it goes through your TV/Monitor and speakers, not your headset.
Thanks for the info. But of course there’s always another question. Why does it come over the tv raspier and louder than other times? Is this “just the roll of the dice” when this happens? I would like to have it louder and sounding more like radio chat than normal speech. Again, thanks to all for replying in advance.
I like that all the audio can go through the headset. I can mute my tv and still play, its awesome.
That sounds like the glitch where radio volume gets super loud out of nowhere while the rest of your volumes remain the same.
You can even hear the gun fire if they shoot/are being shot at. It’s very neat.
To bad the louder radio is a glitch. I kind of like it better. More realism?
Everyone I play with usually hates it when this happens. For me I’d rather have the rest of the sound louder so I don’t miss out on spinning up gotlungs or other cues in the environment I need to take notice of. Also it gets so much louder than the regular sounds it’s pretty much all I can hear when I turn down the sound to adjust to it. It screws with hearing party chat as well.
To each his own though. I can certainly see the advantages provided by the information contained in the dialouge in the radio communications and always have them on. Although I would prefer the volume remain at a set level.
