Im not sure how, but all the entitys are Leaking, one at a time, according to the compiler. One will leak, ill remove it and add a new one, then a different one will leak.
This has been consistant for about 10 entitys now, and im getting sick of having to replace them. So far its been mostly models, and now some doors stuff. None of whitch are in null space. Anybody know why this is?
Radiant: Entitys Leak
Does it say map is leaked? Might be a detail brush.
Radiant does have a bug that causes that too. It’s probably just a bug with the error messages, chances are your map is fine.
Make sure that your map is “sealed” by structural brushes.
If there is a detail brush in place of a structural one then your map will leak - deleting the entities won’t help.
Try filtering off the detail brushes in the editor (Radiant?) and see if you can see outside of your map.
entity leaked is not the same as a map leak.
Entities who’s origin is in structural solid will give you the entity leaked message. Depending on the entity, this may be a problem, or may be safely ignored.
No its an entity leak, all the necessary brushes are structural. The one thing i did notice is the origin of the model is on the same plane as the brush its next to, but the geometry of the model sets into the brush, most of witch are detail, but a few are struct.
I tried to do a full compile and have it not stop on leaks, than ran it in game with sv_pure 0;devmap and it came up with this error,
Error: SV_SetBrushModel: NULL
So im out of ideas on a fix, i might just have to do it the hard way and delete all the models. :disgust:
About the leak: I get it too. But I just ignore it, given that it the map works in the game.
The SV_SetBrushModel: NULL error is classic. You have an origin texture on a brush somewhere and this brush is not an entity (just a brush). This will cause trouble.
Yeah i guess ill just ignore it since thats not the cause of the error. And thanks Loffy for the info on that error. Found the problem and it ran fine. First compile so many errors came after that, but just shader/lighting. Ugly as hell too!
