DOWNLOAD THE PACKAGE HERE1.1MB

-Cheers

P.S. I have changed my mind and will not be supporting the 1.4 .def file update. Sorry.

(psyco_mario) #2

No 1.4? Awww but 1.4 is the latest stable version :frowning:

But i guess it makes sense…

Ill download 1.5

(EB) #3

1.4’s .def file doesn’t really need an update as long as you have Erik-ftn’s update.
There is probably only a 10-15% file and “key” difference between the two. So it’s not a life or death matter at all.

(psyco_mario) #4

ok  ill wait for the stable version of 1.5 to come out then ill get it

(Chain-iT) #5

yeah this 1.5 version really isn’t good enough yet :s

(die die) #6

yeah i hope a stable version of 1.5 will be out soon

good work on the update guys:)

(EB) #7

As far as I know, spog has at least one of the plug-ins working with 1.5, so progress is evident.
Stability ? - Well, it is pretty stable at the moment…it just lacks the bells and whistles IMO.

(DerSaidin) #8

Yay

Good to hear that the plugins are comming along…

(Shaderman) #9

Portal Viewer works fine for me with the latest version from svn.

I looks like only SPoG is developing Radiant at the moment and progress is slowly therefore… What about the modders hanging around here, no interest in supporting the Radiant project?

EB, the </angle> key which is used in the original seems to have been replaced with an </ang> key. Is that on purpose?

Also, some of the files in the archive seems to be identical with the ones that Radiant already installed.

Finally, some of your files in the archive (ex. readme) are all uppercase. Some just have their extension in uppercase. Just saying because it could be problamatic on systems which have case-sensitive filenames.

(Shaderman) #11

The ang key is a list of angles (45° steps). This list is used by a drop down which looks like this:

You may either choose a value from that list or type in a value of your choice. The key going into the entity is named angle then.

Q. EB, the </angle> key which is used in the original seems to have been replaced with an </ang> key. Is that on purpose?

A. To go beyond what Shaderman has shown…Look for <list @ this link for more of an explanation.
https://zerowing.idsoftware.com/svn/radiant/GtkRadiant/trunk/radiant/eclass_xml.cpp

Q. Also, some of the files in the archive seems to be identical with the ones that Radiant already installed.

A. At this point, Radiant 1.5 does not have a full-game package included. So if you took a clean ET install and then a radiant 1.5 install, you’d see that those “duplicate” files are not there.
They were most likely from installing the files from Erik-ftn’s .def update package.
-I included a certain amount of the files from that package to avoid confusion for the mappers of the future: this way they won’t have to get 2 file packages (the .def update and the .ent update) and sort through what they need.

Q. Finally, some of your files in the archive (ex. readme) are all uppercase. Some just have their extension in uppercase. Just saying because it could be problamatic on systems which have case-sensitive filenames.

A. Good Point, I will re-work the package tonight.
