radiant 1.5 under linux no shaders in map

Hey. I’ve tried searching the forums to a solution but im at my wits end. The problem in this post is quite similar to the problem im having, but with shaders instead of texture images.
My problem is this: I compiled Radiant 1.5 from svn under ubuntu 7.10 and everything went relatively smoothly until I test the map. (screenshot below) It seems to me that q3map just isn’t reading in the shaders. The textures in the screenshot with the orange gridlines are caulk, nodraw and the skybox. I know that polygons textured with caulk and nodraw aren’t supposed to be rendered at all, so i can only assume that the shader for them just isn’t being read. The weird thing is that all the shaders appear in radiant…
I managed to compile an older version of radiant (1.4?) in ubuntu quite a while ago and everything worked fine. I’m really at a loss

Still no luck… the only “shaders” that work are the ones with identical tga/jpg filenames in the textures folder. All other shaders just come up with orange/black grid of death. What could cause this? Why is the textures folder found but the scripts folder isn’t?!!
Any suggestions would be great… getting kind of despondent here… :frowning:

If the game only shows the tga’s/jpeg’s with identical filenames, the game can’t find your shaders either.

Please post an ls of your etmain folder to see if your folders use the right case. Maybe your folder is named “Scripts” when ET expects it to be “scripts”. Don’t forget Linux is case-sensitive.

Hmmm, I’m currently puzzled as well.

Have you checked the in-game console already to see which textures/shaders are missing or can’t be loaded?

All shaders are working now… caulk faces are actually caulked, etc
Turns out the problem was i didn’t have a shaderlist.txt file in my scripts directory for some reason. I already knew that but didn’t think much of it because i thought, well, other custom maps have working shaders that aren’t referenced in that file…
That was the problem though…
So to fix it i just copied default_shaderlist.txt from ETPack/et.game/etmain to etmain/scripts/ and renamed it to shaderlist.txt
