Howdy, RAD Soldiers players. You’ve been absolutely fantastic - playing for absolutely staggering amounts of time, crafting all kinds of bonkers strategies, posting hugely positive reviews in the App Store, and, best of all, giving us tons of great feedback via email, the forums, and social media.

Over the past few months, we’ve been hard at work on a huge update for the game, incorporating many of your suggestions and a few of our own. We’ve added a brand-new location, a completely redesigned single player experience, new missions, maps, Soldiers and weapons, a huge balancing update, and countless smaller improvements. Best of all, this update will be a free download.

In this blog update, we’d like to give you an early look at what you can expect from Party in Rio. Read on for all the explosive/intense/sun-baked details!

Fantastic!
I would really like to see new more focused maps (which will add more variety in the strategy), and Tito with Electri-fryer sniper rifle sounds very interesting to me. I have to earn more coins for the update. I have just bought all characters (one for each) without spending RAD BUX (I bought some RAD BUX for outfits). Now I need more coins for newcomers…

Looking forward to the new maps +balance changes, finally we will see a lot more Suds
Would have loved to see the inclusion of a chat system though, it would be fun guiding the newbies around the game, God knows I had to learn the potential of artillery knockback and Gus Marx the hard way when i started playing :stuck_out_tongue:

  • the turrets could have used a little love, otherwise its a solid update

Chat is def needed! I love the idea of smaller maps. I want to use close range recruits but every player uses snipers which forces me to do the same.

Multi-leveled maps??..so cool.

Lots of new stuff, everyone is hyped and looking forward to it. Im not gonna complain about what’s haven’t been done and all. But i just have one question. From what i understand, there will be 2 new expansion pack After-party and All new Bigger Ben. But if we have already bought Bigger Ben will we be eligible to get the new stuff in Bigger Ben? Or will we be required to rebuy the expansion for the new content.(i sure hope that’s not the case)

Lastly, i would like to acknowledge the great mention of Tesla in reference to Nikola Tesla the great inventor and a brilliant scientist. Maybe thru the wireless Electri-fryer Sniper rifle of an unholy range of 9 will Tesla’s dreams of electricity marvels come true. At least virtually, for now…
Kudos to whoever in Splash Damage that thought up the name.

That was a typo in the post - the new pack is in fact called Biggest Ben and is not the same as the existing Bigger Ben pack. Apologies for the confusion there.

You’ll be able to recruit them singly, just like the other soldiers in the game. :slight_smile:

There are few things, which I waiting most:

  • new generation of “AI”, as sometimes I play, without internet access and at the moment most of Computer’s moves are quite predictable
  • of course new locations, as it is rather boring to be at one place, everybody like travelling, I hope I see in Future Moscow, Paris, Tokio, New-York, etc, etc. In fact it could be one map for each
  • beaming function, as for me most attractive gameplay is using a combo
