Look just to catch people up and by no means gloat, when we last left the Mitsid ciakgb grudgefest, he had a million guys coming for my blood. The pre game squads were him: two madames w. knives, a dave w. knife, a kate with H&K, commander with pistol. I went borderline team chump with two Juans with fryers, a gus with spray and pray, and commander with hoo rah.

He expended the Dave grenade, the Kate toxic, exploded both UAV’s, and lost a Madame in order to kill my Gus (sniff). We each set up shop on opposite sides of the Market.

At this point I had ghosted one Juan and he used one sensor ping, a sure tip that he had orbital. A little dance went on, me catching his Kate any chance I got with artillery, and keeping out of reach of the orbital while stile keeping in the rocket zone, no easy feat!

Already something of an impasse, I huddled in “fort Chump” he on the other side in fort apache, the Bronx, Mitsid, distracted by killing a health crate, allowed a freaky long range artillery push, costing him his 2 orbital, full health commander!

So to reset the scene, I have commander with hoo rah and two Juan’s, he a Madame w knife, a Dave w knife, and a kate at sub 100 health.

I chose to push the issue and use my ghost. We shall see!

I would say that the problem is in the rule itself although it is acceptable. However, if Ciakgb intentionally tried to utilize the hole in the rule, that sounds not very fair to me. Anyway, this is not a big problem. I believe that Favela gives significant advantage to the first player, but still enjoyable for the second player. We can talk more about first player advantage after the tournament.

I remember that Ciakgb insisted that there was no first player advantage, and he even prefers to play as a second player, in Favela. Giving Mitsid the first move might make everyone happy?

For me and Kinonez21, we started our second game and I don’t have much things to do as Kinonez21 only play once in 1.5 days. Fortunately, I got the first game at Favela as second, so I would say again that you can still enjoy (and win) Favela as a second player.

Hmmm…not sure if intentionally exploited a hole would explain it, more like played the game by the rules laid out.

I did at one point feel that Favella is largely playable, I still don’t think it’s impossible, but I have come to admit that it can be darn hard.

Having fun playing vs wanting to play in a high stakes game are two different things. I was the first person to raise this whole who moves first thing as a problem to Paul, he decided on the whole quickest to challenge deal.

Don’t hate the rule, hate the playah…wait did I do that right?!?

Anyway, if you want some chivalry, we were in a dead draw position at Market, I literally could have sat for ever. That would have left Mitsid with the uncomfortable situation of even if he won at Favella, he 'd have to win a tiebreaker. Instead I went for the win. Still in doubt if I threw away the game or not.

If I win without even getting to Favella, am I forgiven?

In case of Market draw and me win Favela, then I suggest we just replay the Market.

Those were my proposed maps for the lower bracket finals.

As for our situation, anything but Market, its my worst map. How about poetic justice and if we draw market, I lose going first at Favella, I have to play the penultimate game going second at Favella! Talk about drama:)

I have to say, both of you are my friend, and also i see a little not fair for Mitsid (even its the rule). I don’t think its a big problem. Everything can repair that how everyone happy. Maybe can change to another map…Ciakgb also a kind person, sure you can make a little concessions.
Hope your guys can find a good solution.

Thanks for support SuperNge! But there is no need to change anything. We discussed this issue that much and now I myself want to start already this Favela match goind 2nd. That would be a real challenge :slight_smile:
P.S. I still stand on my position that without you the cup means nothing :slight_smile:

I still don’t understand correctly - have things been settled now - or not yet and does there need to be a correction somewhere?

In Chess, you make a move and at the same time offer a draw. Your opponent looks at your move and decides if he accepts. If he/she accepts, draw, if he moves that means the draw is refused. Either side can then offer again, the process is repeated until both agree, or one player wins.

We are not, El-CO won the first match, we are just three turns into the second match, should we update the game? This changes will he drastic during the tournament!

I was forced to update in order to play online, I feel this is unfair, if I habe first blood, right after the damage boost, but if I don’t summit my turn soon it will result into a forfeit…

Having played the beta extensively, I can tell you this is a completely different game. If you look back, I did warn this might happen.

Want to call things with kin and El co tied for first and Mitsid and I tied for second?

So what do you suggest should we finish the Market or not? I can kill one of yours next turn but then you will probably kill one my toons so it will be 2vs2. It could last pretty long

I would feel I’d have an unfair advantage knowing this build as well as I do, but I’d like to hear from kin and el-co about calling the tourney. Maybe I’d bow out and let you three play?

Regardless, Mitsid, I hope you agree this was an epic match, one for the ages!
