Is there anyway to remove the limits placed on r_mapoverbrightbits by the engine?

I have tried sv_pure 0, sv_cheats 1, devmap etc, all to no avail. It says that it is “out of range”, whenever I set it higher than 1.5.

engine limits it, and no you can’t remove it.
