Just wanted to post a quick update on my map in progress to let those people who are intrested in it, that it has not died, it’s instead gone a big change as i deal with tris and fps, it still will be the same idea that the allies spawn on a train and have tomake their way to the axis airfield to destroy 2 trucks as objectives, but a lot has changed in how they will get there. I did away with the swimming under the ice idea, and lost the bridge, now it’s a battle on just land and in the sewers. I needed some kind of battle area where the the allies and axis will 1st meet, and decided upon a townish motif for that, insipired by blushing_brides map, which was a town/village setting that looked good. I never tried a town before but since this is my 1st map, i never tried a lot of things before. The way i have layed the town out, it should be a good battle area for holding back the allies, but still with a great chance for the allies to blow the axis main gate and move onto the airfeild base to finish the job. I’m posting a few screens here, and hope to put up a web page with more updated screens as i progress.
The map is huge, or at least seems huge, but not confusing, it’s simply layed out where people need to be and go, it has a trainyard, trainstation, town area, main axis base area, and finally the airfield… oh, and the sewers of course.








Im intending that it still be a heavy covert/engineer map with lots or little to do as needed. There are things both can do to get more xp, or just what is needed too finish the map. it’s about 80% done now mapping, the bsp size is about 14meg and hopefully will sit at around 17meg when done.
as you can see the command map goes from a to q… but like i said, it only appears big, it really isnt.
