Quick Slash (25% or 15% faster melee swing speed?)

Quick Slash augment description says that your melee attack speed is 25% faster
But in the recent update notes it says that it was changed to 15%, and also ingame it feels slower than the 25% it’s used to be
Did SD forget to update the description? Or did they decide to cancel the nerf but forgot to remove it from update notes and it’s actually the same speed as it was before but I’m imagining things?
Maybe someone can setup a timer and count how many times they swipe during x seconds by holding left click with the augment and without it?

It’s 15%, tooltip probably didn’t change.

I think they nerfed it because they wanted to give this augment to Phantom. And it would be really OP if Phantom had 25% faster Katana attacks.
But I agree they could’ve just added a new augment for him with 15% faster melee attack speed

I think you are right but that nerf was still unnessecary. Chopper is still better on phantom if you want a melee augment.

Yea that’s true, but Quick Slash is still really good for Phantom, not as good as Chopper but still decent but still an amazing perk.
Imagine a loadout card for Phantom with Chopper, Quick Slash and Undercover. That would’ve been the best card ever.
Maybe they will change it in the future so Phantom gets only 15% faster swing speed but other mercs still 25%

Why would they do that? Phantom is not a melee character. People can screw around playing melee only with Phantom and other characters but it’s not how you play him correctly if you want to consistently succeed.

@DexterGrif though it’s worthless in competitive, I often switch between melee and smg as I don’t like finding ammo crates (or finding an ammo station, and standing next to it with my cloak down, as to not EMP it) because I have no support classes around me. I mostly use him in the place of a counter sniper, but more fun

@pinkOrchid I think Quick Slash is a better augment. Even with Chopper, you can only one shot one additional class with the augment (Phoenix) and most other mercs still take two slashes to kill. Quick Slash lets you swipe faster (and makes killing downed players faster as well)

Kira is the better Phantom in regard of meele fighting.

And if enemies try anything funny she still got an laser at hand to burn (some) people asses.
