I’ve look at the training vids, did SD remove the “LEAN” feature. If not, what button will use to activate the lean left, right?
Quick Question
It could be the shrooms but I could swear I saw leaning in the old(est) videos.
It was definitely shown in the older videos. Would also like to know if it’s still in.
Lean is in. I just saw it in a video. On consoles it’s ironsight + left/right on the d-pad. On PC there is probably separate buttons like Q and E.
The console button solution is very good imho. This way you can still easily aim around, but not move. And you shouldn’t be able to move while leaning in reality… well at least I don’t think this is going to bother me. And you aren’t gonna use your abilities while zoomed in with the weapon anyway.
You can do it in real life. From a gameplay perspective I like it as well, it makes the surroundings more relevant. Also I’m a Raven Shield fan.

Hope not[/QUOTE]
The whole point of the leaning is for it to be more realistic so obv your gonna be able to shoot whilst leaning
What makes you think leaning was removed? It’s present in all versions of the game…
We just haven’t seen it in a while. And it wouldn’t be the first interesting feature that didn’t make the final cut.
Glad to know it’s still there.
It’s just not super commonly used that’s all. so it hasn’t been shown in a whole lot of vids except for the ones Paul showed early on.
It was used in one of the earlier gameplay demos. A solder went and planted a charge to clear an alternative pathway. Whilst waiting for charge to detonate he was leaning around the corner and shooting to defend themself.
Lean without fire is in Container City Part 2. From 1:15 mins.
Lean with fire (as described above) is in Container City Part 3. From 2:00 mins.
But I think not firing is better, so leaning becomes only a quick tactic to look somewhere before you run in.
But I won’t argue with SD on this, they had reasons on it.

Wasn’t this an etpro feature rather than etmain?
In any case I can see why SD would allow you to fire when leaning
Brink is about removing the wtf’s from fps, not adding them

I agree with this. I don’t really want another shooter where enemies take potshots at eachother from behind cover.
From what i’ve seen in game play videos though the lean feature isn’t really used very much.
Keep up the good work Splash Damage!
You might have missed it but people have been crying for a video showing this stuff off for the last two years.
Didn’t see it in any of the recent vid’s to the public. I would have like to see in your training vid and know how it work.
It would also be dull to not being able to shoot. It work in the old school games and why can’t it work here? IMO, if I lean around a container to see if anyone is coming and an enemy is right next to you. You shoot the bastard…hehehehhehehe. No time for BS, pull the trigger.
