Questions from a new player

Hi guys,

I was looking for a game like Overwatch to wait until the end of this year, and I found out Dirty Bomb which seems quite nice.

But I have some questions before I start playing this game for real.

First, Can anyone explain what exactly is Load out and how it works ?
I don’t understand if it’s only for skin (which I doubt) or if it’s designed for mercs upgrades.

Secondly, if it’s for mercs upgrade, Is it possible to get them without spending money ? Or do I have to spend money if I want some decent upgrades ?

Thirdly, As I said, I’m new, so I don’t really know what to do with my credits, should I buy all mercs first ? Or save them to shop something really worth and spend 20$ in the game to get the starter mercs pack ?

  • A loadout is a card you can get from cases, and you equip these in the barracks. They contain your 3 weapons, a skin for that card, and augments, which add small bonuses to your character. (Lead has 1 augment, iron has 2, and bronze and above all have 3).

  • Yes, you can get them without spending money. You can either spend credits on cases (not recommended) or occasionally earn cases from finishing matches.

  • Save your credits and buy mercs you’re interested in. Test them out when they enter free rotation to see if you like them. Make sure to play 1 game of stopwatch and objective each day, and have 1 win. These 3 things will net you 1,500 credits daily, in addition to missions.
