Question

What drives you guys to keep playing this game? There is no progression system, no reward system, levels mean nothing in this game, and on top of all that there is a bunch of bugs and unbalance mercs, maps, and teams. There is nothing that would drive me to keep playing this game when better games come out (most of my friends are in the same boat).

don’t use the “its still in beta” excuse, its been 5 months(i think).

At the moment:

 • Buying all mercs
 • Get the best loadout cards in chrome cobalt
 • Stoker
 • Fun
 • And the level 1 noobs/lowest score players who say “noob team”
 •
Add to that the ever lasting wish to get better in a game and you have my motivation
I play this game because I find it fun. I don’t need psuedo-progression to keep me playing a game. I’m happy to play for fun only.

Crazy idea right? Why would anyone play for fun huh?

How many games are you and your friends still playing 1-2 years post-purchase? It sounds like you would switch pretty often. Do you still enjoy them, or are you only playing because of your time/money investment? And if it is because the game is fun, is it actually fun or is it just fun to play with your friends?

Do you know how long a beta lasts? It lasts until the Devs say it is over. If they don’t believe it is ready for release it doesn’t get released. And they admit there are issues, that is why it isn’t released.

I can’t understand the people who say it is an excuse. It isn’t. It is an admission that the game is not ready for full release and that work still needs to be done before it can be considered a finished product.

Shoot things, get better at shooting things. Only reason to play any FPS.

I play DB because its fun. Also, I’m always excited for a new content and some events…
Also, just by playing it you’re getting better AND if better games come out…well…I would really like to know what games.
Seriously, LawBreakers, Battleborn and Dirty Bomb can be played at the same time I think.

Friends that play the game, the awesome community that this game has and most importantly it’s fun. There has been alot of threads like this and it’s greeted with the same answers all the time, every game becomes stale and boring at some point but with a game like DB, where it caters to casual players and comp players there will always be something for everyone. Merc releases are massive to this game and there are still a few more to come, there are maps in the pipeline that will bring new players in and old players back. There’s new game modes to come as well as new skins on the horizon (I’ve seen them and trust me it’s worth the wait). At the end of the day, this game is a beta and with a beta people should expect a constant flow of content and gameplay changes/fixes. If that is something you don’t like then don’t play it. I personally love this game and the community that surround it, private servers give me chance to host events with the community that bring more fun to the casual side and a new comp option for those that don’t like the current set up.

Was talking to OP. It was basing my post off of what he said. Not saying everybody jumps games all the time.
