I have a little question:

I have made a little map for E.T. and I try to test it but when I go to my console and type /sv_pure 0 /g_gametype 2 /devmap …
Then he gives awaiting challenge 0 and he freezes.
I read some tutorials and I saw that I had to add mapcoodsmin and mapcoodsmax so I’ve added them but it didn’t changed.
Then I downloaded a map from a tutorial and tryed that but it didn’t work either.

How can i solve this problem ??? [/img]

Sounds like you’ve got too many custom pk3s in your etmain/ folder.
Try shifting as many custom ones out to a temp folder and try again.

Now I have another problem.

The textures won’t load!!!
The only thing I get are orange squares!!

these max and min coordinates, where do you put them and how do they work? I think that’s my problem :.

you have to create a .shader file if you have custom textures

They are entity keys for worldspawn

You do not need shader file for just a plain texture. First make sure your texture size is power of 2 like
512x512 or 512x256 or 256x256 …you get the point? This is the first mistage people tend to do.
Where is your textures located? It is suggested that they are in [yourEtIstallDir]/etmain/textures/[yourmap name]/

what do you mean with texture size is power of 2 ???

And I can’t find the textures in my etmain map.

Power of 2:
A texture width or height MUST be one of the following values in pixels:
1
2
4
8
16
32
64
128
256
512

Ok I get it but is that only for a common texture or is it also for a standard texture from radiat?

I only used some standard textures from other maps.

all textures.
If you are only using standard ones though you don’;t need to create any shaders - theyt are already done for you.
