can someone show me how much damage a silence Barnett does and give me an outline on what i can and cant kill if its double buffed (head shots or not?)
question on sniper rifles.
There was a thread on this before and there’s that chart with the numbers (but a bunch of these have changed with patching). The info I remember is that w/ double weapon buff the barnett rifle kills double health buffed lights in one head shot and unbuffed mediums in 1 head shot. Can’t remember the exact numbers though so my apologies there.
hmm… silencers seem to take alot of damage of my barnett it seems.
i tried to do a new ‘jack’ but with quiet footsteps and silencers. it just doesnt seem to make much difference

Body type health: light - 120, medium - 140, heavy - 180
Barnet damage: 125, headshot damage = 125 * 1.5 = 188
Single buff Barnet damage: 125 * 1.175 = 147, headshot damage= 147 * 1.5 = 221
Double buff Barnet damage: 125 * 1.33 = 166, headshot damage = 166 * 1.5 = 249
I don’t know the damage reduction of the silencer, but it’s probably percentage based like everything else. So, the Barnet gets the largest reduction in damage of all the weapons with a silencer.
The way I see silencers is that they are much better for ranged fire then the muzzle brake, because muzzle brake decreases a weapons range, therefore the damage output over distance gets a sharper decrease, while with the silencer attached, not as much.
Silencer on the Barnett is pretty much useless. People are going to see the shot anyway and all it does is reduce the amount of damage you can do. With only 4 bullets per clip that makes a big difference. its better to have a mussle break for the better accuracy/stability or nothing at all if you want the extra range.
sniper silencer is situational - if you can situate yourself so that you are firing on a spawn wave from behind (i.e. as they run away from you, cant see you to put you on radar)…the silencer keeps you off radar (bridge near the resistance spawn on CCity as an example). of course a quick check by the res team should be in order, but when the gate battle is raging, amazing how many people just charge up the corridor.
for an oncoming wave it’s pretty useless since radar isnt the primary way they see where you’re at.
Lago we should get barnetts and rockstedis and ruin people’s day by double tapping them with the barnetts and picking them off with the rockstedis if we miss.
